Àlex Martínez Puigdelloses (born 19 March 2001) is a Spanish professional tennis player. He has career-high rankings of No. 678 in singles, achieved on 29 July 2024, and of No. 648 in doubles, achieved on 18 August 2022. He played collegiate tennis at the University of Oklahoma.
Early life
Martínez was born in Mataró, Barcelona, to Albert Martínez and Elisabeth Puigdelloses. His brother, Sergi, played collegiate tennis at the University of Montevallo.
Junior and college career
In 2019, he was a runner-up at the Campeonato de España Mapfre Junior, losing to Iñaki Montes de la Torre in the final.
He played collegiate tennis for the Oklahoma Sooners. In February 2022, he was named the Big 12 Player of the Week.
Professional career
In October 2022, he reached his first professional final at the M15 Norman Open, but lost to Yuta Kikuchi.
In July 2024, he reached his maiden Challenger final at the Open Castilla y León as a qualifier, but lost to top seed Antoine Escoffier.
