Русский: Храм Рождества Богородицы является одним из красивейших архитектурных памятников Уфы и ее главным православным храмом. Строительство собора началось в 1889 году, однако работы были приостановлены из-за нехватки средств. На помощь епархии пришел известный уфимский купец Н.М. Патокин. Он выделил необходимую сумму и храм был возведен.
Церковь была построена из кирпича, как и трехъярусная колокольня. Купола были обиты железом и увенчаны железными крестами, покрытыми бронзой. В августе 1909 года на колокольню были подняты восемь колоколов, вес самого большого из которых составлял более 50 пудов, а самого маленького - 10 фунтов. Общая высота церкви, включая колокольню, составила 21 сажень, или около 45 метров. В том же году состоялось освящение храма Рождества Пресвятой Богородицы. После революции храм не был закрыт и функционировал на протяжении 20-х - начала 30-х годов. Однако в 1934 году власти города закрывают церковь, а все церковное имущество к тому времени уже было разграблено. Старожилы вспоминают, что в разное время в здании размещалась тюрьма, небольшой завод, а затем кинотеатр. Только в 1991 году храм был возвращен Русской православной церкви и после продолжительной реконструкции открыл свои двери для верующих. |
