Вокруг ксилемы расположены клетки паренхимы ксилемы и клетки флоэмы. Однорядный слой мелких клеток, расположенных по окружности (с содержимым красного цвета) - это эндодерма. В основной паренхиме видны амилопласты, запасающие крахмал.
