Descriptionגושי זפת מוסווים מתחת למים בראש הנקרה פברואר 2021.jpg עברית: אסון הזיהום הימי בזפת לאורך חופי ישראל הוא אירוע זיהום ימי ברמה בינונית, שהחל בישראל ב-17 בפברואר 2021 בו נגרם אסון סביבתי לחופים, לים ולטבע לאורך כל חופי ישראל בים התיכון. במהלך האירוע נפלטה לחופי ישראל פסולת ימית של זפת שמקורה בנפט גולמי. מעריכים שהאירוע הוא אחד האסונות האקולוגיים החמורים ביותר שפגעו בישראל מאז הקמתה, בין היתר, בשל השטח הגדול שהוא מכסה ובשל הרעילות הגבוהה וארוכת הטווח של הזפת. זיהום הזפת פגע גם בחופי דרום לבנון. בתמונה: גושי זפת מוסווים מתחת למים בראש הנקרה English: Lumps of tar camouflaged underwater in Rosh Hanikra
