Descriptionپیاده روی اربعین حسینی.jpg فارسی: پیاده‌روی اربعین عبارت است از حرکت شمار زیادی از مسلمانان شیعه به سمت شهر کربلا، در جنوب بغداد، به منظور جمع شدن همهٔ آن‌ها در چهلمین روز پس از سالگرد کشته شدن حسین بن علی، سومین امام شیعیان در واقعهٔ عاشوراست.

در گردهمایی اربعین از جمله گروه‌های مسلمانان شیعه، مسلمانان سنی، مسیحی، ایزدی و دیگر آیین‌ها هم در آن حضور داشته‌اند. این رویداد بزرگترین گردهمایی سالانهٔ مذهبی در جهان است. پیاده‌روی اربعین در زمان حکومت صدام حسین ممنوع بود.
