Description English: Page from the only extant manuscript copy of the Měnggǔ Zìyùn 蒙古字韻, a 14th century rhyming dictionary of Chinese in the 'Phags-pa script.

Across the top of the page, from left to right, are Old Mandarin syllables (disregarding tone), each written vertically in 'Phags-pa script. Beneath each syllable is a list of Chinese characters with that pronunciation, grouped by tone (平, 上, 去 and 入).
