Description血桐 20190422201437 01.jpg 中文（繁體）：苞片。台灣原生。花细小，没有花瓣，雌雄异株。功效：木材轻软，可供建筑及制造箱板；树皮及叶的粉末可当防腐剂；树叶可当羊、牛或鹿的饲料；此外树皮和根部可入药，分别有治疗痢疾和咳血之效。血桐分布于中国各地，树冠整齐，生长迅速，是良好景观美化材料。（引用自中國科學院網站「没有花瓣的花：血桐」一文）。2018台中花博，台灣。 English: Bract of Macaranga tanarius. Native to Taiwan. The flowers are small, without petals, and dioecious. Uses: The wood is light and soft, and can be used for construction and box board; the bark and leaf powder can be used as preservative; the leaves can be used as feed for sheep, cattle or deer; in addition, its bark and root can be used as medicine to treat dysentery and coughing up blood respectively.
