Social generations of the Western world |

Generation Beta (often shortened to Gen Beta) is the demographic cohort succeeding Generation Alpha. Demographer and futurist Mark McCrindle, who also coined the name Generation Alpha, defines the cohort as those born from 2025 to 2039. As the successor to Generation Alpha, the generation is named for beta, the second letter in the Greek alphabet.
Generation Beta will be the first generation to live their lives in a world of artificial intelligence. McCrindle explained: "While Generation Alpha has experienced the rise of smart technology and artificial intelligence, Generation Beta will live in an era where AI and automation are fully embedded in everyday life—from education and workplaces to health care and entertainment."
