Piduguralla is a town and mandal headquarters in Guntur district in Andhra Pradesh state. It is famous for white cement and lime stone industries, cotton, rice and mirchi farming fields. Natural limestone is found in abundance and is the source of the town's nickname 'Limecity' or 'Minimumbai'.
Road Transport and People
Piduguralla is located in the part of "PALNADU" around 70 km from Guntur and 200 km from Hyderabad. It is on the Guntur-Hyderabad and Addanki-Hyderabad state highways. The mandal is rich with minerals and also surrounding villages are very green with paddy fields. Most of the people depend on agriculture with fertile lands having abundant water from the Nagarjunasagar canals.

Piduguralla is well connected by Buses from Guntur,Vijayawada,Miryalguda,Tirupathi,Karimnagar,Suryapet,kodad,warangal, Hyderabad(Dilsukhnagar,kphb,ecil,bhel,jeedimetla), Narasaraopet and Macherla,VI. Industry
It has around 45 rice mills (par boiled and raw rice). The place is one of the most industrialized town in guntur district. It has around 300 lime stone kilns and lime hydrating mills and lots of cotton mills in the town, 5 PAINT INDUSTRIES and recently 2coldstorages are being constructed.
Rail transport
Trains from Guntur,Vijayawada,Vizag,Hyderabad,Chennai,Tirupathi,Kerala,Kolkata used to pass via Piduguralla. Later, Guntur-Nadikudi-Macherla line was converted from Meter Gauge to Broad Gauge under Project Unigauge and a new line was laid from Bibinagar near Hyderabad to Nadikudi. Thus Piduguralla was connected directly to Hyderabad by Broad Gauge Line. Piduguralla is located on the Pagidipalle-Nallapadu section of Guntur division of South Central Railway(SCR). The railway Station code for Piduguralla is Pgrl.the bus station code is pdrl.
Employment
The main profession of the people is cultivation and exporting limestone and white cement in Piduguralla. The profession is not restricted to lime stone,there are several industries based on crops like cereals,rice, groundnut oil extraction..etc. overall it is one of the most important business place in guntur district.
Education
Education has a strong base in Piduguralla; there are more than 25 Secondary grade schools ,1 high grade school( A.B.C GRAMMAR SCHOOL,vikas public school,vidhyardhi schools,vivekananda schools), 5 junior & 6 degree colleges, 1 b.ed colle and also one of the school which is past from 15 years is St'Ann's English Medium High School. It is located opposite to APSRTC Bus depot
Politics
Politically Piduguralla is the biggest town in Gurajala constituency and has three prominent parties: Congress, Telugu Desam, Praja Rajyam - which fight head to head in this constituency.
Temples
Piduguralla Ayyappa Temple (www.pdrlayyappa.com) is one of the most famous temple in Andhra Pradesh state. Beside of the Krishna river Lord Ayyappa temple was inaugurated the presence of the Lord Ayyappa temple the surroundings and the area is called ayyappa nagaram this is the most beautiful temple is being peaceful and delightful in that area.

Near by villages
- Morjam padu: This is 1st place that should be passed on the way to River Krishna at Kamepalli and almost a big place in near by 5 to 6 villages.
- Govinda puram: This place is the 2nd place to that should be passed on the way to River Krishna at Kamepalli and has a river bet but dangerous from here and also district boarder to Guntur and Krishna separated by the river Krishna.
- Kamepalli: The place beside river Krishna has a panoramic view and here the river is almost 3 trees depth i.e. around 40 to 50 metres.
- Brahman palli: is the village just beside the state highway to Hyderabad to Guntur and has district's one of the oldest Z.P.H school and in strength of students also.
- Tummalacheruvu: one of the first village that was electrified in Guntur district. The temple of PanduRanga Swamy is very famous here. In every summer the people pray to this god of goodness for 5 days called TIRUNALLA very famous in and around 20 villages. It is connected by both road and rail. Two schools and private schools are also there.ZPHS was established in 5 acres donated by Sri Katla SambiReddy,Sri Katla Koti Reddy and is headed by Sri R. Ramakrishnaiah along with Sri M. Sada Sivaiah (Telugu pandit) multifaceted person K. Perireddy who are the main pillers for this school and others too.
- 'Karempudi': This is one of the Place which is called as Palnadu MUKHA DWARAM ....This is most popular village among palnadu villages . ....This is the village who left his last breathe here named PALNATI BRAHAMMA NAIDU
