In Persian, Turkic, and Urdughazals, the qāfiya (from Arabic قافية qāfiya, lit. 'rhyme'; Persian: قافیہ; Azerbaijani: qafiyə; Urdu: قافیہ; Uzbek: qofiya) is the rhyming pattern of words that must directly precede the radif. The qāfiya is the actual rhyme of the ghazal.
