Republic of China is the official name of Taiwan, a country in East Asia.
Republic of China may also refer to:
- Government of the Republic of China, the governing body of Taiwan, established in Mainland China after the implement of the ROC constitution in 1948
- Free area of the Republic of China, also known as Taiwan Area, including Taiwan and associated islands under effective Republic of China jurisdiction
- Republic of China (1912–1949), state in East Asia from the end of the Qing dynasty to the end of the Chinese Civil War, which ruled the Mainland China before 1949 and Taiwan after 1945
- The following three governments were recognized as legal representative of the Republic of China during their existence:
- Provisional Government of the Republic of China, the provisional government led by Sun Yat-sen after the collapse of the Qing dynasty in 1912
- Beiyang Government, government of the Republic of China based in Peking (present-day Beijing), 1912–1928
- Nationalist government, the Kuomintang-led government of China based in Nanjing, 1928–1948
- Wang Jingwei regime, a Japanese puppet regime in Nanjing formally called the Republic of China, 1940-1945
