Robert E. Raiche (February 18, 1937 – June 9, 2024) was an American politician. He served as a Democratic member for the Hillsborough 34th district of the New Hampshire House of Representatives.
Life and career
Raiche was born in Manchester, New Hampshire. He attended Nathaniel Hawthorne College, the University of New Hampshire and Franklin Pierce Law Center.
Raiche served in the New Hampshire House of Representatives from 1965 to 1972.
In 1972, Raiche ran for Governor of New Hampshire and lost in the Democratic Primary to Roger J. Crowley, who in turn was defeated in the General Election by Republican Meldrim Thomson Jr. In 1977, President Jimmy Carter appointed Raiche as the United States Marshall for the State of New Hampshire. After 1980, Raiche practiced law in his hometown of Manchester.
Raiche died June 9, 2024, at the age of 87.
