Sebastian River High School is based around a central courtyard. Its facilities include a 3,750 seat sports stadium, a 1,100 seat auditorium, a 1,200 seat gymnasium, a state of the art TV studio, a 6 ½ acre land and aqua lab, high tech vocational labs, a football field, three practice fields, two baseball diamonds, four tennis courts, four basketball hard courts,a wrestling room, and a cross country course.It also has 4 separate classroom buildings for The JROTC with a versatile indoor shooting range. As of 2002, a new Freshman Wing was added, bringing the number of classrooms to over 140, making it one of the largest schools in Indian River County. ==Band==
It is also home of the Sebastian River High School Marching Sharks who were named the Grand Champions at the Peach Bowl in 2005. The marching band also won several Crown Jewel competitions in Vero Beach and the Battle on The Border in Valdosta, Georgia in 2006. The marching band has a perfect record of straight superior ratings at FBA's and MPA'a. Their Chorus has received 14/15 Superiors at State.

SRHS also holds a Prism Concert in their auditorium every year. This is the major fundraiser for the music programs for the year. The students from Band, Chorus, and Flags perform to over 6,000 people in a week. The concert is visited by many from around the world, including Japan and Sweden.

Sebastian River High School is a co-educational International Baccalaureate high school. It opened August 1994 and was ranked 304th by Newsweek's 1,000 top U.S. High schools.

In April 2008 two students (Marcel Wolff and Andrew Ryan) managed to qualify for the state Masterminds (Academic Team) Competition, placing third. This marked the first time in the school's history that two students were sent to compete based on their points in the preliminary county competition.

In 2009, Natalie Wolff, sister of Marcel Wolff, won the state championship.

Extra Curricular Activities (Sports teams included)

Sebastian has many different activities including Football, Soccer, Baseball, Drama Club, Navy JROTC, Tennis, Lacrosse, Track, Basketball, and many different clubs. Students can participate in any activity if they have a 2.0 GPA or higher.
