Sudesh Dhankhar is the current Second Lady of India. She was previously the First Lady of West Bengal.

Education

She completed her pre-university course, bachelor's and master's from Banasthali Vidyapith. Between 2013 and 2022, she pursued a PhD at Banasthali Vidyapith. She presented her thesis on groundwater conservation in Jhunjhunu district and was awarded the degree in 2022.

Personal life

She was born on 20 July 1956. She married Jagdeep Dhankhar, Vice President of India in the year 1979. She has one daughter named Kamna who is married to Kartikeya Vajpayee son of late Shri Vijay Shankar Vajpayee, and Smt. Abha Vajpayee.
