Not viking metal!

Despite having lyrics about vikings, this is a black metal album with progressive and post-metal influences. As there are very few supporting sources, here is a song of the album: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhDnDnSkyI4 Viking metal is supposed to have strong male clean vocals, 'epic' keyboards, and midpaced, galloping rhytms. This album has neither. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.26.38.81 (talk) 23:12, 8 July 2012 (UTC)

Yes, there probably are not an abundance of sources explaining the genre of this band or this album. However, they would still be nice to add to this page. I will not say that you are right or wrong, but I personally don't care whether the album is black metal or Viking metal, because genre determination is not the important part about music. Here is one. Whether is relevant, or reliable, is up to the moderators: http://rateyourmusic.com/release/album/solstafir/i_blodi_og_anda/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.244.139.237 (talk) 19:53, 13 July 2012 (UTC)

Thank you for your suggestion. Unfortunately, rateyourmusic.com is not a reliable source by Misplaced Pages's standards. Backtable concerning my deeds. 21:50, 13 July 2012 (UTC)
