Galca Ltd (ukr. Галка Лтд) – ukrainian coffee companie, one of the largest producers of coffee and chicory, cereals and cacao drinks.
History
In early spring 1932 in Lviv was founded the production cooperative "Syspilnyy promysel” (Public craft). Lviv factory of chicory and coffee substitutes began its work and in the shops of that time appeared new chicory drink called "Luna".
Till the seventies, the factory specialized in the production of natural coffee, coffee beans and ground coffee. And also, it had in its range of products seventeen different beverages based on coffee, chicory, barley and other natural ingredients.
December 13th 1972 first can of instant coffee came off the conveyor. In the early nineties factory workers have established national company "Galychyna", which in 1993, already in the independent Ukraine, became closed joint stock company “CJSC Galca”. In 1994 a corporate Ukrainian-English venture “Galca Ltd” was established.
Coffee
Factory "Galca" is a modern and the largest Ukrainian enterprise with complete production cycle of coffee, starting from roasting green beans and ending with the manufacturing of soluble coffee products.

"Galca" imports arabica and robusta coffee beans from various coffee plantations in the world, including Ethiopia, Uganda, Laos, Cameroon, Vietnam, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Costa Rica, Brazil, Colombia, Guatemala, Tanzania, Honduras, Nicaragua and other.
At the enterprise successfully operate two world systems: quality management system ISO 9001:2000 in which for two consecutive years is integrated the system of food safety ISO 22000.
