Harada Metal Industry Co., Ltd. is a Japanese copper alloy manufacturer, established in 1952, specialized in manufacturing and sales of phosphor bronze plates and strips.
It owns manufacturing plants for the whole process from melting and casting to rolling and slitting of phosphor bronze products at its Sendai factory located in Ohra-mura, Kurokawa-gun, Miyagi Prefecture. It also owns a tinning plant in Nikko-shi, Tochigi Prefecture, to do HOT-DIP tinning for phosphor bronze strips.
Due to excellent elasticity, high strength, outstanding workability for bending and drawing, as well as high electric conductivity, phosphor bronze has been widely used as base material for various industrial products such as connectors, relays and bearing(mechanical) flames.
History
1952: Established in Warabi-shi, Saitama Prefecture. Started manufacturing and sales of copper alloy sheets.
1955: Moved facilities to Toda-shi, Saitama Prefecture. Started manufacturing and sales of phosphor bronze sheets and strips.
1978: Built Sasame Factory.
1992: Started product slitting business at slitting factory.
1994: Completed the first-stage construction of Sendai Factory. Then consolidated manufacturing plants to Sendai Factory through several steps.
1996: Started HOT-DIP tinning business at Todoroku Factory.
2006: Completed headquarters office building.
