Hej, widziałem Wolę Ostrowiecką, ciesze się, że zrobiłeś ten art, wygląda lepiej niż nasz Polski. Wkrótce go poprawie.

National parks
Hi there! Where do you take all those articles on Polish national parks from? Halibutt 14:21, 18 February 2006 (UTC)
If you can, please learn how to wikify articles, and when you add new Poland-related articles, leave us a note at Portal:Poland/New_article_announcements. Tnx for your contribs!--Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus 19:08, 18 February 2006 (UTC)
Wisloka Debica
Hi Tymek, I have just reverted your last edit of Wisloka Debica. Please do not post copyrighted material to Misplaced Pages without permission from the copyright holder. See Misplaced Pages:Copyrights. Copyright violations are unacceptable and persistent violators will be blocked. Your original contributions are welcome. You can, of course, attempt to obtain permission. Many thanks. - Nzd (talk) 20:16, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
- Hi Tymek, that's ok then ;) I would put a note on the talk page, stating that it's reproduced from the site, but that you own that text, and you are releasing it under the GFDL. Could I also ask that you make the additions look a little less like a cut-&-paste dump, with appropriate section headings and wikilinks? I will help with this now it's here. Sorry about that, but I would definately add that note, or someone else will probably come along and reach the same conclusion. All the best, and thanks for the contribution!. - Nzd (talk) 21:52, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry, no particular interest in Polish football, just an interest in the game in general. I've been working my way through Category:Football (soccer) clubs looking for articles to populate Category:Establishments by year and Category:Football (soccer) chairmen and investors. I just happened to get to the Polish clubs recently.. By the way, you should sign your messages on talk pages, which you can do by typing four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your message. All the best. - Nzd (talk) 22:13, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

Wikify/cats/etc.
History of football in Poland is certainly an interesting field. It would be great if you could properly wikify your articles, and add them to the appopriate categories. I'd recommend you go over the articles you have created, see how others cleaned them up, and learned from them. See also their talk pages. A poza tym - dobra robota :) --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus 05:08, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
- If you had any questions about Ruch Chorzów, the most prominent football club in Poland in late 30' you can ask me, cause I'm multigeneration fan of that club ;) Jeśli czytasz po polsku możesz sobie poczytać to (muszę jeszcze poprawić trochę nie-encyklopedyczne stwierdzenia ;) D_T_G (PL) 10:28, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
Kluby
Jeśli możesz to proszę - rozwiń te artykuły: Śląsk Świętochłowice, Piast Gliwice. W razie czego daję linka do spisu takich klubów: . Pozdrawiam. LUCPOL 00:06, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
Władysław Szczepaniak
Hi, thanks for all your help! I'm trying to help clean up Władysław Szczepaniak and couldn't make it what you meant by "For the last time appeared on the field in 1947, soon after Polonia’s 1946 victory in the Championships of Poland." If you could respond at Talk:Władysław Szczepaniak, that would be great! -- Ricky81682 (talk) 09:35, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
Józef Korbas
Tymek, thanks for the quick response earlier. Another question for you regarding Józef Korbas. I noticed that Korbas has a birth year, but no death information. If Korbas is still alive, could you please add him to Category:Living people? -- Ricky81682 (talk) 08:08, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
Kilka uwag: brakuje źródeł (references, citations, zobacz WP:CS), obrazki sa niesformatowane i nie maja podpisow, zobacz WP:XIMG i WP:CAP. Na koniec, brakuje tez kategorii (WP:CAT). Jak cos nie jasne, pytaj sie dalej :) -- Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus talk 00:28, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
- Jesli uzywasz Firefoxa, to on ma pewne problemy z dlugimi artykulami na Wiki (ja uzuwam Mozilli m.in. dlatego). Jesli nie, to nie wiem dlaczego nie mozesz doklejac tekstu... :( -- Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus talk 17:28, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
Futbol
MSZ wygląda to cokolwiek dziwnie.
//Halibutt 18:39, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
Stąd mój pomysł by je połączyć i współpracować. //Halibutt 04:34, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
Śląsk Świętochłowice
Sorry about that. I did do a little more cleanup just now. Biruitorul 21:36, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
I'm not especially interested in Polish soccer (but more in Romanian). Rather, my main concern is with proper diacritics (for instance writing Śląsk and not Slask. Biruitorul 01:09, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
Korbas date of death
You can add whatever information you have to Józef Korbas. Do you have a source, maybe someplace online where you found it? If so, just add that. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 19:02, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
Re:Mala informacja
Dobra ksiazka. Artykul Second Polish Republic potrzebuje wielu statystyk. Takze historical demographics of Poland. Zerknij tez na Category:History of Poland (1918–1939).-- Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus | talk 19:22, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
Pozdrawiam Bartekos 20:20, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
Jutrzenka i Cracovia ?
No wreszcie nauczyłem się dodawać przypisy...:-). Teraz już chyba jest korekt ? Prawda ? Nad czym teraz pracujesz ? Oczywiście swojej roboty :-) Pozdrawiam Bartekos 21:33, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
Tłumaczenie
Cześć stary! Wielkie dzięki za przetłumaczenie tekstu pieśni, świetna robota, zaraz włożyłem go do artykułu. Naprawdę doceniam to! - Darwinek 10:29, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
- Darwinek 20:55, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
Welcome to WikiProject Trains
Hello and welcome to the Trains WikiProject! Thank you for adding your name to our project membership list. Our goal is to build the most comprehensive and detailed guide to rail transport on Misplaced Pages. As a project member, you may add the project membership userbox to your user page if you wish.
If you haven't done so already, please add our main project page to your watchlist and take some time to review the Trains project manual of style where we have collected guidelines and suggestions on notability and style for a consistent representation of rail transport related material. If you're curious about where to start, we've gathered a few suggestions in the Trains project to do list. If you'd like to specialize in a particular area of study within rail transport, take a look at the current Trains project task forces.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask on the project talk page or on my talk page. Again, welcome and happy editing! Slambo (Speak) 15:41, 4 February 2007 (UTC)
Autonomiczne Województwo Śląskie
"Dlaczego zmieniles zawartosc artykulu o Autonomicznym Wojewodztwie Slaskim w latach miedzywojennych?"
Głównie dodałem infobox i zrobiłem zmiany redakcyjne.
Gdzie to znalazles?"
:) - Darwinek 09:10, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
crazy indeed
That's right.. Definitely, some lists need some cleanup, clear referencing etc. --Beaumont (@) 08:19, 28 February 2007 (UTC) PS. I admit that I'm a little tired of this counterproduction (you can check the number of reverts in maaany entries) and, as you can see in my talk, the situation did contribute to my interest in Citizendium.
Re:Tak sobie
A raczej szereg. Linkuj nowe artykuly z miejsc gdzie ktos moze chciec o nich poczytac (np.

P.S. Masz moze zamiar w lecie zatrzymac sie u nas? - Darwinek 10:16, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
- Moze w lecie, planuje znow troche popracowac nad artykulami dotyczacymi Zaolzia. :) - Darwinek 15:19, 15 May 2007 (UTC)

Hi!
Thanks for your comments about editing your PKP in 1939 page. I know how hard it can be to produce something like that, especially in a foreign language and using technical language.
If you have any other railway pages you want me to look at then let me know.

Even if it wasn't directly copied from anywhere, it may be a translation of a Polish one, which would have meant the same problem: it is a derivative work of a text protected by copyright, and it can't be used on Misplaced Pages without permission of its copyright holder. - Mike Rosoft 19:10, 3 July 2007 (UTC)
- Reviewing the linked Polish articles, it seems to me that it's not a direct translation from the Polish, but a free re-phrasing, which should be okay. However, it still needs cleanup - statements like "however, it was not a regular train as we imagine it" are better suited for a magazine article than for an encyclopedia. Regards, Mike Rosoft 19:15, 3 July 2007 (UTC)
- To clarify: a translation from Polish Misplaced Pages or another source which is under a free license (or in public domain) would have been acceptable as well. - Mike Rosoft 19:24, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

Polish Voivodeships and Counties 1919-1939 - trivia
From deleted article, I'd suggest merging into an existing one. But Misplaced Pages is not a collection of trivia (see WP:TRIVIA).
- Total number of Voivodeships - 16 plus the capital city of Warsaw, which was regarded as a separate unit.
- Biggest Voivodeships (as for Aug. 1, 1939):
- Polesie Voivodeship - area 36 668 km²,
- Volhynian Voivodeship - area 35 754 km²,
- Warszawa Voivodeship - area 31 656 km².

Football Hooligans' Fight at Grabiszynska Street in Wroclaw
A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Football Hooligans' Fight at Grabiszynska Street in Wroclaw, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Misplaced Pages's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Misplaced Pages is not" and Misplaced Pages's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. Stifle (talk) 20:32, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
Football hooliganism
Hi thank you for your message. Yes indeed I do edit the various articles regularly, partly because I try to keep a middle ground between those who add stuff which is full of weasel words and often is just glorifying hooliganims, and those who just constantly criticise without any real thought. Also because there has been far too much unsourced content added to the different articles. For instance the List of hooligan firms article constantly sees users adding new Firms but ignoring the clear guidelines that they need to be mentioned in a third party source. I agree with you that the Poland section on the Football hooliganism article needs expanding. I would though strongly recommend that any sources are in English. One good source of information is always the BBC (). The source you provided (Warsaw Voice) which is in English on the article which I am currently working on (which you created but I have renamed to Wrocław football riot 2003 as I feel this is a less wordy title) seems a good source? Perhaps that site might contain more information? it might also be worth checking any British newspaper online websites, such as The Guardian or Daily Express? Or some times United States online newspapers or ESPN maybe? I hope you do not mind my work on the Wrocław article you created, I am in the middle of cleaning it up and should finish it later on tonight. Good luck! ♦Tangerines♦·Talk 19:10, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
Hi yes, I will add the groups! I will do it later today, cheers. ♦Tangerines♦·Talk 18:08, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
Hi just to let you know that I will be adding the firms shortly this evening. I didn't get chance to do it last night. ♦Tangerines♦·Talk 17:13, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
Good work on the new article (football hooliganism in Poland) and yes I will have a look at it> I will put the "in use" tag on it when I am working on it. I will add the Polish firms first on the List of firms article. ♦Tangerines♦·Talk 17:46, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
The Polish firms are now on the List of hooligan firms article. Also I have been working on your article this evening. I just wanted to tell you though that I thought it best to use only English language sources, which is why some sections have the "citation needed" tag. I did this because there appears to be quite a few English language sources, all the ones you found. Plus I am sure there will be others too. If I do not finish it tonight (which I doubt I will) I will continue working on it over the weekend. ♦Tangerines♦·Talk 22:23, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
Please would you do me a favour and wait until I have finished editing the article before you add any more content. The "in use tag" is there so that other users do not edit whilst a user is working on an article. Your edit whilst adding more content only confused the article as it is and so for now I have reverted it until later. Thanks. ♦Tangerines♦·Talk 00:52, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
No problem, I have finished cleaning up the article now and have removed the "In use" tag. I have also added back in the information you added earlier today about "allies". You might need to check a couple of the wiki links though as two of them I was not totally sure they were the right football clubs. cheers, ♦Tangerines♦·Talk 02:26, 6 October 2007 (UTC)

- Despite you tried to offend me several times, I would like to explain myself at your talk one more time. This is not about me "denying" or saying that you write deliberately false articles. You are a strongly opinionated person and take some issues very close to heart and want the world know about certain things that the world was not informed of. That's as good a motivation to create content as any other. I just disagree with some of the ways of your presentations. I don't follow your edits and only run into your articles when prompted to them from elsewhere, like DYK suggestion page, noticeboards, links from other articles, etc. But another no less than myself experienced editor seems to try to help you in your first steps. He could have easily corrected a few easy to address things in your articles if he wanted. --Irpen 04:39, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

Czescz Tymeczku, I wanted to let you know that as much as I appreciated your vote and comment at the Pilsudski FA vote, A very good article about one of (the) greatest Poles of all times, it would have been better to say (and more "neutral") that the article is "about one of the greatest Polish leaders of all times". Notability of Jozef Batory
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Jozef Batory, by another Misplaced Pages user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Jozef Batory seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Jozef Batory, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Hi Tymek, certainly I'm not offended. I believe it does not matter if we like the person or not. I think that in writing the encyclopedic article we should try to be neutral, stick to documented facts and try to avoid opinions. We do not need, and should not be trying to portray Gross as a "nice person" or a "vampire". I already think that article discusses too much about Jedwabne pogrom, and this should be discussed in the Jedwabne pogrom article itself rather than in Gross' bio. --Lysy 19:44, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

Glad to help out. I'm not a native English speaker either, and I'm fully aware of the grammatical differences between for example Polish and English. Czortkow Uprising is an interesting article on a subject I haven't heard of before. Manxruler (talk) 01:10, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
- My edits weren't completely random, no. I'm a World War II historian, and I've had a certain interest for Polish 20th century history ever since reading a work on WWII by a Polish author like 15 years ago. Also, I've read quite a bit on the Polish Independent Highland Brigade which fought at the Battles of Narvik together with Polish naval ships such as ORP Grom. Speedy deletion of Gryf Torun
A tag has been placed on Gryf Torun requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a club, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guidelines for people and for organizations.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Paste (talk) 17:28, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
Apatia
The article was deleted in accordance with the criteria for speedy deletion, specifically #A7, with no assertations of notability. If you read that criterion, you'll see that the original article did not appear to make any claims, technical or reasonable. FYI, when starting a stub article, it's best to make sure you make clear the notable facts about the subject in the beginning. If you sufficiently address at least one of these right away in the beginning of the article, even without references, it can't be a legitimate candidate for speedy deletion. (For music-related topics, check out Misplaced Pages's criteria for music-related notability. Just so you know, CSD candidates need not undergo a discussion before deletion; hence the "speedy" part of it.) Dropping the deleting admin a note, as you did, or contacting another admin, are good ways to get the article back, if there's some reason to think the article can circumvent the CSD. No hard feelings? Cheers and happy editing! - CobaltBlueTony™ talk 12:56, 17 April 2008 (UTC)

Strange edits
Hi, Tymek, the article is called Racism and football, not Racism and communism so the info you are trying to push is clearly off-topic. And to call Never Again International an extreme organisation, sounds very similar to extreme-right rethoric too me.
P.S. chat with User:Krzyzowiec led me to discovery of Jan Mosdorf article, which was created by you. May I suggest not to use Holocaust denial (IHR) and openly nationalistic portals (nacjonalista.pl) as reference here in Wiki. Cheers. M0RD00R (talk) 01:18, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

Śląska klasa A - 1921 - 1926 i puchary Fliegera
Lower Level Football Leagues in Interwar Poland. Jesienią zreorgenizowano rozgrywki, bo doszło kilka klubów z niemieckich rozgrywek, do klasy A dołączyły katowickie Diana i 1.FC. Dałoby radę jakoś to zebrać, poprawić i coś skrobnąć w powyższym artykule? :) Pozdrawiam, D_T_G (PL) 18:57, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
- Ciekawe archiwum! Pozdrawiam, D_T_G (PL) 22:17, 9 May 2008 (UTC)

On Lukas Podolski and Miroslav Klose: yes, Klose said he felt a German. Yes, Klose's family and the Jesch family (maternal family of Miroslav Klose) were subjected to Polonization with force. You can already see that in the name: "Kloze" in Polish administration, but changed back to the original "Josef Klose" by his father in 1986 in West Germany. You say you do not want an edit war, but you keep changing things such as "Opole" not being allowed to be called "Oppeln", while it officially is a bilingual community with bilingual rights under Polish law even. This is not 1970 communist Poland, and your edits are unwanted. Yes, Klose said he felt a German in the interview. But of course due to the Communist Polish pressure against ethnic Germans of Silesia, he was forced to be raised in the Polish language, otherwise they might have faced reprisals. By the way, I like Poland and the Polish people and Polish culture and Royal Polish history, but not the silly 19th century extreme forms of nationalism found among Poles. Klose and Podolski are German Silesians with much Slavic Silesian and Polish influences too. But Herbert Hupka is not "Polish" either, just because his last name sounds Slavic Silesian, either. Let's stop the edits bakc and forth and read the sources in Der Spiegel and other history. I do not care what they choose, but if they consider themselves as Germans, they are Germans. Not what Poles would like them to be. The late Adam Ledwon (r.i.p.) was a German Silesian in reality too, but he felt more Polish, as he is German by ancestry, but raised in schools and society of Communist Poland. Stay to the facts....Smith2006 (talk) 14:52, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

- Was my edit controversial? In what way? And do I have to explain all my edits on talk pages? Thank you. Tymek (talk) 22:17, 19 June 2008 (UTC)
- Given that there was a heated discussion between a number of editors in which you did not participate, yes, I'd say your edit was controversial. Did you not read the talk page before you made that edit? If not, why did you revert an edit marked as reverting original research? It would have been a good idea to use the talk page or the edit summary to explain why you thought it was not original research, or if you concurred that it was in fact original research, why you were restoring an edit that violated WP policy. In any circumstance, it is always a good idea to use an edit summary. Gamaliel (talk) 22:51, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

- I assume your edit was made in good faith. I merely ask you to explain the reasoning behind this good faith edit for the benefit of other editors, especially when you involve yourself in an ongoing, heated edit war. I ask nothing that is not considered a regular, accepted editing practice on Misplaced Pages. Gamaliel (talk) 23:02, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

Otherwise, you do ask a thing that is not considered a regular practice. Tymek (talk) 23:15, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

Please do insert polemics etc.
Please do not insert polemics or advertise for revert-buddies. Thanks. Jayjg 01:45, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
- Because the banned editor Jacurek, as in all his edits, it trying to blame the victims, and in particular is placing undue weight on carefully chosen anecdotes from a polemical work written by a sociologist, not a historian. On top of that, half the paragraph isn't even sourced. Jayjg 02:17, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
Please don't play games. You are restoring work authored by a banned editor, and the material in question is mostly unsourced, and the rest, as stated, is sourced to cherry-picked anecdotes in a polemical work by a sociologist, not a historian. Jayjg 02:38, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

Request for help
Hejka Tymek! I have a kind request to you. Last year you greatly helped with translation of Płyniesz Olzo po dolinie poem. This summer I would like to expand several articles about Zaolzie writers and poets and include several short excerpts from their works. Can I ask you then for a help with more smooth translation? Thanks. P.S. Jan Kubisz is the first one but quote in his article seems it doesn't need better translation. - Darwinek (talk) 20:24, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
- Super, spróbuj proszę więc ten króciutki wiersz Adolfa Fierli:
- Kopalnie
- Zwiedzałem dzisiaj boży świat
- Ukorzon i błagalnie;
- I z oczu rzęśne spadły łzy
- Płynące nieprzerwalnie,
- Gdyż wszystkich wiosek cichy łan
- Zmieniono na kopalnie.
- Zwiedzałem cichy zagon dziś
- Gdzie dawniej rosły kwiaty,
- I gdzię się baran z owcą pasł
- Przy ścieżce obok chaty,
- A gdzie dziś zamiast prostych traw
- Dzień krwawej ryczy spłaty.
- Stanąłem dzisiaj w szybu próg
- W udręki dusznej chwili,
- Gdy czarni od spiekoty prac
- Do sztolni się spuścili.
- I duszą targnął suchy ból:
- Potrzaskanego wynosili...

Kubisz to jeden z najważniejszych poetów zaolziańskich, burzyciel numer jeden. Pisał często gwarą, ale na pewno zrozumiesz. Słowo rzymkocić oznacza wydawanie głośnych dzwięków, hałasowanie. Oto fragment, o którego tłumaczenie Cię proszę:
- Twardo, silno, uporczywie -
- Chcym rzymkocić słowym w gniywie,
- Chcym buntować, sie... przeklinać
- W ziąb i boleść słowa scinać!
- W poszarpaniu całej duszy,
- Wszystko w bezpamięć rozkruszyć,
- Strzaskać, zburzyć, potarasić -
- W nic ostatni czuci zgasić!
Wielkie dzięki! Nagroda to trzeci Radegast :). Artykuł o Kubiszu wydłużę lada chwila, już mam wersję roboczą w sandboksie. - Darwinek (talk) 17:27, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
Jeżeli chodzi o tłumaczenia, to w następnych dniach-tygodniu poproszę jeszcze o przetłumaczenie fragmentów Jasiczka, Przeczka i Wawrosza a potem dam Ci znów spokój na cały boski rok. :) - Darwinek (talk) 19:47, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

Cześć. Proszę teraz o krótki fragment wierszu obozowego Gustawa Przeczka.
- Kij do krwi smaga przygięte plecy,
- W brzuch kopie ciężki but -
- Psem tylko jesteś i numer znaczysz,
- Dłoń twą kolczasty skował drut.
- O straszną śmierć się ocierasz co dzień,
- Zbrodniczy gaz cię zwala z nóg,
- Straciłeś siebie - a w ciągłym głodzie
- We mgle się stracił dobry Bóg.
Chciałbym nominować do DYKa. - Darwinek (talk) 15:14, 23 July 2008 (UTC)

Obórki
Hi Lysy, where did you find info that massacre in Oborki was perpetrated by the Germans? Look here and here . I hope you have no doubts and you will restore it. Tymek (talk) 05:12, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
- Hi. First of all, allow me for a general comment on the article: I'm sure you'll agree that with such a sensitive issue, we have to be very careful with the selection of sources. Recent research and publications bring new developments and it's important to remember that the opinions expressed 20 years ago may be negated by recent findings. Generally, the article suffers from poor sources selection, web pages, press articles, older or politically motivated publications. I think we should try to stick to recent publications of professional historians where possible.
- Back to Obórki pacification, first let me note that both links you provide confirm that the action was conducted by Ukrainian police, not by UPA. Ukrainian police was under German command, even the webpage of wachowscy.com that you provided confirms that the action was "commanded by a German". It also does not states whether the actual shooting was done by Germans or Ukrainians but says: "jeden z oprawców strzelał ofierze w tył głowy". As for Piotrowski, while I generally value his works, in this case he does not provide a detailed account of what happened, and only generally mentions the incident. On the other hand Polish historians such as Grzegorz Motyka of IPN or Andrzej Sowa of Jagiellonian University state that not only the action was commanded by Germans but also Germans personally murdered the Poles. This is confirmed by Feliks Trusiewicz. You may note, that the villagers were herded and murdered in Trusiewicz's barn. I'll add relevant references to the article. Here is e.g. what Sowa writes: "W historiografii polskiej winą za większość z tych represji obciążano nacjonalistów ukraińskich", and: "Tak też było w wypadku mordu, dokonanego 13 i 14 listopada 1942 r. na 53 osobach w Obórkach w pow. łuckim, gdzie pacyfikacja przeprowadzana była przez policję ukraińską, ale egzekucji osobiście dokonywali nadzorujący ją Niemcy". I hope that explains the situation. --Lysy 10:06, 27 July 2008 (UTC)

This occurred while I was correcting mistaken author attributions in the refs Piotrus added. In the middle, a bot came in, causing a bit of confusion. While I was further attempting a fix, you jumped in within four minutes with and uncivil, malicious and bogus charge of "vandalism."
Please note that, asscording to WP:CIVIL, one form of incivility is "Referring to other editors' good-faith changes as vandalism". Speedy deletion of Markot
A tag has been placed on Markot requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}

- And what does this criticism have to do with massacre of Brzostowica Mala? Tymek (talk) 02:40, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
- Read what is already written on the AfD. The criticism is a commentary on the potential quality of the IPN as a source. It is a government agency, not an academic source. Government agencies, particularly prosecutorial ones, are not considered the most reliable of sources for historical articles. And in additon, as I cited, the IPN has been criticized for having a right wing nationliats POV. Boodlesthecat 03:15, 13 October 2008 (UTC)

- OK, I got it now. Next time, whenever I want to supply a source to an article, I will ask you if the source has been criticized by Haaretz or Grabowski. This should be a common policy of Misplaced Pages. Only sources approved by Haaretz and Grabowski please. Those sources criticized by Haaretz are void. Tymek (talk) 15:22, 13 October 2008 (UTC)

- Irpen (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) is limited to one revert per page per week, with the exception of simple vandalism; and is required to discuss all content reverts on the relevant talk page. Should he violate this restriction, he may be blocked by any administrator as provided in the enforcement ruling below.
- Lokyz (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) is admonished to avoid edit-warring.
- Should Lokyz (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) make any comment deemed by an administrator to have been incivil, a personal attack, or an assumption of bad faith, he may be blocked by any administrator as provided in the enforcement ruling below.
- Piotrus (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) is urged to avoid interacting directly with or commenting about Irpen (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) under any circumstances, except for any necessary commentary in the course of bona fide dispute resolution.
- Piotrus (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) is cautioned to avoid using his administrator powers or status in situations in which his involvement in an editing dispute is apparent.
- Piotrus (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) is admonished to avoid edit-warring.
- Poeticbent (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) shall be assigned one or more volunteer mentors, who will be asked to assist him in understanding and following policy and community practice to a sufficient level that additional sanctions will not be necessary.
- Relata_refero (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) is admonished to avoid edit-warring.
- Editors are reminded that when editing in subject areas of bitter and long-standing real-world conflict, it is all the more important to comply with Misplaced Pages policies such as assuming good faith of all editors including those on the other side of the real-world disputes, writing with a neutral point of view, remaining civil and avoiding personal attacks, utilizing reliable sources for contentious or disputed assertions, and resorting to dispute resolution where necessary. Misplaced Pages cannot solve any of the national, ethnic, historical, or cultural disputes that exists among the nations and peoples of Eastern Europe or any other real-world conflict. What Misplaced Pages can do is aspire to provide neutral, encyclopedic coverage about the areas of dispute and the peoples involved in it, which may lead to a broader understanding of the issues and the positions of all parties to the conflict. The contributions of all good-faith editors on these articles who contribute with this goal in mind are appreciated.
- Editors who find it difficult to edit a particular article or topic from a neutral point of view and adhere to other Misplaced Pages policies are counseled that they may sometimes need or wish to step away temporarily from that article or subject area. Sometimes, editors in this position may best devote some of their knowledge, interest, and effort to creating or editing other articles that may relate to the same broad subject-matter as the dispute, but are less immediately contentious. For example, an editor whose ethnicity, cultural heritage, or personal interests relate to Group X and who finds himself or herself caught up in edit-warring on an article about a recent war between Group X and Group Y, may wish to disengage from that article for a time and instead focus on a different aspect of the history, civilization, and cultural heritage of Group X.
- Administrators who utilize the #wikipedia-en-admins IRC channel (or other IRC channels in which Misplaced Pages-related matters are discussed) are reminded that while the #admins channel has legitimate purposes, they should bear in mind whenever using it:
- (A) That discussing an issue on IRC necessarily excludes those editors who do not use IRC from the discussion (and excludes almost all non-administrators from the discussion if it takes place in #wikipedia-en-admins), and therefore, such IRC discussion is never the equivalent of on-wiki discussion or dispute resolution;
- (B) That the practice of off-wiki "block-shopping" is strongly deprecated, and that except where there is an urgent situation and no reasonable administrator could disagree with an immediate block (e.g., ongoing blatant or pagemove vandalism or ongoing serious BLP violations), the appropriate response for an administrator asked on IRC to block an editor is to refer the requester to the appropriate on-wiki noticeboard; and
- (C) That even though the relationship between the "wikipedia" IRC channels and Misplaced Pages remains ambiguous, any incidents of personal attacks or crass behavior in #wikipedia-en-admins are unwelcome and reflect adversely on all users of the channel.
- Following the conclusion of this case, the Committee will open a general request for comments regarding the arbitration enforcement process, particularly where general sanctions are concerned. Having received such comments, the Committee will consider instituting suitable reforms to the enforcement process.
- Following the conclusion of this case, the Committee will convene a community discussion for the purpose of developing proposed reforms to the content dispute resolution process.
- Following the conclusion of this case, the Committee will publish guides to presenting evidence and using the workshop page.
Please see the above link to read the full case.

1981 demonstrations
Hi, Tymek, and Happy New Year! (Maybe using diacritics could be a New Year's resolution?) Anyway, no worries on that. On the substantive issues: as far as I know, it's quite difficult to formally leave the RCC - either excommunication or a declaration before a bishop; otherwise the Church considers one to still be a member. Of course, in surveys, former Catholics can still answer something other than "Catholic". In any case, I've found three estimates (20 million Polish Catholics in 1939 (though of course within different borders), 30 million in 1978 and 34.4 million in 2003) - by whatever measure, the RCC was clearly larger than Solidarity. So I agree with your change (perhaps "non-religious" should become "secular", but either is fine). At first glance, the other article looks OK too, but I'll make some minor fixes as time permits. Anyway, it's great that you're chronicling these events - the '80s were a pretty miserable time in Eastern Europe (I only know the Poland of those days through the films of Kieślowski, though) - not at the traumatic level of the early Stalinist period perhaps, but every bit as awful for the human soul - the gray, grinding misery of the command economy heaving its last breaths. Thank God it's all over. - Biruitorul 03:51, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
- While the contempt for dissenting opinions shown by those MEPs is indeed chilling, I think eventually this farce called the EU will unravel - in a democratic system (which it still is, more or less), you can only go so far with these sorts of games before the people have had enough. I think 2009 could be a very bad year for the EU (and consequently a very good year for the rest of us): our friend Mr Klaus will do all he can to mess up the proceedings; turnout at the June "elections" will be pitifully low; the German election could cause some nice distraction; the financial crisis could lead to Greece-like riots in Spain, Italy and elsewhere, further undermining the Euro; and the shadow of Lisbon will hang over everything - I predict (rather boldly at present) that Lisbon will fail, throwing the machine even further into crisis.
- A bit of a plug: if you don't already, you should look at EU Referendum, at least when there's big EU-related news. Two recent posts to whet your appetite; indeed the second is worth quoting:
- "By such tiny, barely-reported steps, each separated by many years, does the process gradually ensnare us so that, decades later, we look up and ask 'how the hell did we get into this mess?' By then it is too late.
- "The genius of engrenage, though, is that nobody notices. Each step can be justified, in isolation, on apparently good grounds – as long as no one understands that it is a process, and the end point is economic and then political integration. By such means are we thus enslaved."
- (For a fuller explanation of engrenage, see here, here & here. Oh, and sorry for the completely off-topic post!) - Biruitorul 05:07, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

Witaj, macie w angielskiej Wiki niezłe artykuły o UPA. Polish Population 1939
There was no 1939 Statistical Handbook published in Poland, the last one published before the war was in 1938. In 1941 the Polish government in London published a handbook of statistics. I have a photocopy. They list the 8/31/39 estimated population including Zalolzie as 35,339,00. I always try to have a printed copy of the sources I cite.--Woogie10w (talk) 00:49, 3 February 2009 (UTC) I checked the figures, Without Zalolzie on Jan 1, 1939 the population was 34,849,000, with Zalolzie 35,100,000. On Aug 31, 1939 the population without Zalolzie was 35,100,000 and with Zalolozie 35,339,000. The population of Zalolzie was 240,000 and the estimated natural increase in the population for all of Poland from Jan-Aug 1939 was 250,000. I hope this helps.--Woogie10w (talk) 02:08, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
- That 1939 edition never made to the west, in any case you see how the confusion arose. Zalolzie had 240,000 and the natural increase from Jan-Dec 39 was 250,000. In any case historians outside of Poland never include Zalolzie with Poland, just like the Sudetenland is not considered part of Germany. It is considered occupied Czech territory--Woogie10w (talk) 10:43, 3 February 2009 (UTC)

Adding a new category for SURVIVORS of the Holocaust
Hi Tymek: Regarding the two CfDs at Misplaced Pages:Categories for discussion/Log/2009 March 12#Category:Holocaust victims and Misplaced Pages:Categories for discussion/Log/2009 March 12#Category:Nazi concentration camp victims, while I agree that the categories need to be sharpened, but if they are going to become categories about people who DIED only in Category:People who died in The Holocaust and Category:People who died in Nazi concentration camps respectively, then in all fairness and following good logic and historiography, following that reasoning, there should now therefore be two categories. ONE for those who DIED and one for those survivors who LIVED such as Category:Holocaust victims who survived and Category:Survivors of Nazi concentration camps that would allow for that. I am positive you will agree and kindly take a look at the two above CfD discussions again and note that that should be so, that both those who died and those who survived and lived, and who were/are of course notable, such as Elie Wiesel; Joel Teitelbaum; Yekusiel Yehudah Halberstam and many others that I know as being important to Jewish history, and there are many others like this from many other groups. It would be a great shame and travesty if those names were expunged only "because" they survived and escaped the fate the Nazis had wanted for them by having lived and not died in the Holocaust and/or the death and concentration camps. Thank you, IZAK (talk) 06:15, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
Miroslav Klose
Hello, I need your help with the Miroslav Klose article. The article clearly states "Klose himself said in a recent interview to Przegląd Sportowy that it would be best for him not to be called German or Polish, but European". When I changed "German" to "European" my edits were instantly reverted without any real explination. Many German posters insist on listing him simply as a "German footballer" despite Klose's own words claiming he does not want to be classified this way. I understand he plays in Germany but he was born in Poland, his mother was Polish and his father (German descent) was born in Poland, speaks Polish and played professional football in Poland. Also, Miroslav speaks Polish at home, has a Polish wife, and played professional football in Poland early in his career. I would like to honor Kloses' own decleration of his nationality. If listing him as "European" is a problem, then I would at least like to see it as "Polish-German" or "German-Polish" because lisitng him as only "German" does not properly reflect his full background. Your assistance is greatly appreciated. Beckenbauer1974 (talk)
