Speedy deletion of Military Question
[edit]A tag has been placed on Military Question, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet very basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. ≈ THA //See Evil//Speak Evil//Hear Evil// 19:55, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
- As a further note (I encountered your new page, as well) you may want to consult Wikipedia's reference desk to get an answer to your question.--Fyre2387 (talk • contribs) 19:57, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
Try the Reference Desk instead
[edit]If you have a question to ask such as the one about whether your son could be sent to a combat zone, the place to do that is at the Wikipedia:Reference desk. The reference desk is divided into categories; I believe Wikipedia:Reference desk/Miscellaneous is the one you would be looking for.
Given the seriousness of your question, I would also recommend that you try to find your answer in a source more reliable than Wikipedia. A published document (not just one recruiter's oral or written opinion) would be useful. I don't think there is an "only son exemption" along the lines you described, but I'm not in the military so don't consider me a definitive source on this either. --Metropolitan90 20:01, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
