Roy Orbison and Friends, A Black and White Night

[edit]

Hi. :) Thank you for contributing information to the article Roy Orbison and Friends, A Black and White Night. There was a little bit of difficulty with your contribution in that, for some reason, it not only added the new detail about the HD-DVD release, but also reproduced the rest of the article. If you look at the version here, you'll see what I mean. I'm not sure exactly how that happened; perhaps you copied the article into a word processor program and edited it there? But I did want to let you know so that you can be careful about that in the future. Helpful is the "preview window" (you can read about that behind the colored text link). If you preview your changes, you can read over the article to be sure that it includes the information you want in a readable way. It's probably also a good idea to edit in the "edit window" on Wikipedia, so that you don't lose all of the "wikilinks" already in the article. The colored text leads readers to other related articles, and we strongly encourage those.

Since your change was such a small part compared to the duplicated material, I'm afraid it was originally overlooked and removed. I have added the information about the HD-DVD back to the article after a discussion of the matter at the "administrator's noticeboard", here. I believe that this was your intention.

If you have any questions about editing Wikipedia, you may want to visit our help desk. Although you've been registered for quite a while, since you haven't been very active you might also feel comfortable at the New contributors' help page, which is engineered for people who are not familiar with the wiki environment. As was noted above, you can even ask for help directly on your page by typing {{helpme}} (brackets and all) next to your question. A volunteer will come to answer.

If you have any questions about any of this, please feel free to visit my talk page by following the "talk" link after my username. Thanks again for your contribution, and happy editing. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 14:10, 22 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
