So I looked at the source, and it says the opposite. The only news outlet that the source identifies as substantially left of center is Daily Kos. There are a couple that are significantly right of center, but most are in the middle. Taken from the abstract, "We find, however, that news outlets are considerably more similar than generally believed." undo
