Djent is about a sound, or technique. Djent needn't be complex. Math, as a term relating to music, is much more common in math rock, "mathy" bands that are much more recognizable as "indie" and/or alternative rock, and 'tech', a subgenre of progressive and/or technical and/or death metal. Many "djent" bands may be described by fans of these other genres, as being "mathy", but certainly not most. undo
