Rex talk contribs 143,751 bytes +27 The first reference was talking about the Allies breaking it ''at that time'', not about it being perfectly unbreakable even to modern methods: "My study of how the Germans made it possible for us to break a cipher machine that '''would have been''' unbreakable if properly used proves...". The second reference is by a historian rather than a cryptographer, and so is not a reliable source. The third reference cannot be found, but is likely to agree with the first reference. undo
