I emphatically deny that that term "homosexual" is any more inclusive to bisexual people. Leaving a talk page message to further explain my rationale. (also adding a hyphen) undo
  • curprev 09:4309:43, 9 July 2024 Kaczynskisatva talk contribs 80,358 bytes +78 Replaced most instances of "gay" with "homosexual" where this conformed with the language of the study cited; preserved instances where it appeared in quotations of survey questions, or conformed with the language of the study cited. Rationale: The wikipedia article is called "Homosexual behavior in animals", not "gay behavior in animals", and this article is about homosexual behavior in (human) animals, not gay culture; homosexuality is present in bisexuals, many transgender people, etc. undo Tag: Visual edit

The survey didn't ask if people were "homosexual/lesbian", it asked if they were "gay/lesbian" Likewise, I'd point out that Gay men is what the wikipedia entry is called, not "homosexual men". Synonyms are okay, and exclusively using "homosexual" feels overly cold, alienating undo Tag: Undo
  • curprev 15:1815:18, 8 July 2024 Kaczynskisatva talk contribs 80,396 bytes +116 Mechanism: Replaced all instances of "gay" with "homosexual", which was the more-used term in this article to describe this in the strictly medical-behavioral context, to homogenize language; replaced once instance of "straight" with "heterosexual", which is also used many times in this article, also to homogenize language undo Tags: Reverted Visual edit
