The Calvacade of Lights Festival takes place in Toronto every year, and runs from November 23rd to December 23rd on the Old City Hall and various other sites.

The opening ceremony takes place in Nathan Philips Square, on November 23rd, and ends with a large display of fireworks launched from the new City Hall building, after the light show on the old City Hall building.

The lights on the large Christmas tree in Nathan Philips Square, and the other Christmas lights (blue and white LEDs) are also switched on for the first time each year during this ceremony.

==The main light show for the Calvacade of Lights Festival==
The light show is generated from five large projectors, each the size of a small building placed up on top of the East viewing gallery in Nathan Philips Square, projecting across the street to the old city hall building.

===Times that the light show runs===
After the opening ceremony, the light show runs every night until December 23rd, at the following times: 5:30pm, 6:30pm, 7:30pm, 8:30pm, 9:30pm, 10:30pm
