'''Desert Rose''' is the third track in ]'s Award winning album '']''. Originally released in 1990, the song was become one of Eric Johnson's most popular pieces. One of the album's four non-instrumentals (the other three being ''Nothing Can Keep me From You'', ''High Landrons'' and ''Forty Mile Town''), the song contains lyrics only in its first half (with the exception of the choruses), with the second hand containing a brilliant several minute guitar solo. Written by Eric Johnson for guitar, bass and drums the piece is one of the few songs that demonstrates Eric Johnson capabilities as both a guitarrist and a singer, as his ] voice is vividly depicted in it.

This page is a redirect. The following categories are used to track and monitor this redirect:
  • From a song: This is a redirect from a song title to a more general, relevant article such as an album, film or artist where the song is mentioned. Redirecting to the specific album or film in which the song appears is preferable to redirecting to the artist when possible.
    • There is consensus that the majority of songs do not meet Misplaced Pages's notability guidelines. Songs should only have an individual article when there is enough material to warrant a detailed article.
    • For redirects of cover songs to the article about the original song, use {{R from cover song}} instead.
    • For redirects of remixes to the article about the original song, use {{R from remix}} instead.
  • With history: This is a redirect from a page containing substantive page history. This page is kept as a redirect to preserve its former content and attributions. Please do not remove the tag that generates this text (unless the need to recreate content on this page has been demonstrated), nor delete this page.
    • This template should not be used for redirects having some edit history but no meaningful content in their previous versions, nor for redirects created as a result of a page merge (use {{R from merge}} instead), nor for redirects from a title that forms a historic part of Misplaced Pages (use {{R with old history}} instead).
When appropriate, protection levels are automatically sensed, described and categorized.
