Your edits on Unification of Karnataka

Hi Sarvabhaum, You seem to be a brand new user to Misplaced Pages. I simply love the freshness new editors bring to Misplaced Pages. But your recent edit on the Unification of K article is against many WP policies, most importantly WP:AGF. You have reverted to an edit by an ip where the ip had blanked content without any explanation, which infact borders on vandalism. If you have any concerns about that article or any article for that matter, please voice your concerns on the talk/discussion page of the article. I am sure your concerns will be addressed by fellow editors. Thanks and have a wonderful day! Sarvagnya 18:33, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

Saffron Aum

Hello Sarvabhaum, I have started a discussion on the Hinduism template talk page. You have recently recommended a image change in the article. While you can not directly change the Aum in Hinduism article you can on the template. Your comments would be highly appreciated.__Seadog 17:28, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

Mea Culpa

Ooops, sorry! I didn't notice the edit properly. In the diff, it seemed to me that you had inserted the link randomly somewhere. I thought it was test or mistake, so reverted it. I've put it back now. Once again, sorry! utcursch | talk 15:27, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

Belgaum

Please stop your edit war using an WP:SPA on this page. The order of transliteration is a trivial issue, and Kannada being the administrative language of the Belgaum deserves to be first. I am reverting it once again and if you continue your revert war, I will stop any further reverts as per WP:DFTT. You are free to continue your pointless reverts until an admin looks into this. Also, please stop terming content disputes as vandalism. -- Naveen 13:02, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

You are in danger of violating the three-revert rule. Please cease further reverts or you may be blocked from editing. - Aksi_great (talk) 13:51, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

You have been temporarily blocked for violation of the three-revert rule. Please feel free to return after the block expires, but also please make an effort to discuss your changes further in the future. - Aksi_great (talk) 06:28, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

Also, I reverted the article because the edit had been made by a blocked user. We do not allow blocked users to edit wikipedia. - Aksi_great (talk) 06:30, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I have given enough reasons for my edits. Those were discussed and mentioned long before on Talk:Belgaum. Yet a troll continued reverting them. Even the admin didnt took the pains to find out reason and went ahead to block me and Bell Ga On. I think he owes a explanation about it.Incidentally the troll has been spared

Decline reason:

The WP:3RR rule applies even if you are correct, I cannot look into a user's actions referred only to as the troll, so I cannot comment on that. Let me know here if you have any questions. -- HighInBC 16:14, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Blocked

You have been blocked for 2 weeks for continued use of sockpuppets to disrupt articles. - Aksi_great (talk) 08:56, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

C.V. Vaidya

Please provide the name of the book, its ID, publisher and I shall order it. I love books and like to collect them.thanks.Dineshkannambadi 17:11, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

Maharashtra geet

I think Maharashtra anthem should be moved to Maharashtra geet. The term "Maharashtra anthem" is not common and sooner or later, somebody might move it to deletion saying that there is no "anthem". Also, Govindagraj's "मंगल देशा!..." can be included in the list. I'll work on the article, when I've time. utcursch | talk 13:17, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

Chalukya

Be consistant with the rest of the article and dont openly mention the names of historians, rather include their names in the "inline note citation". The world cant read Marathi. Please take pity on the world and dont include Marathi script in the middle of the article. This is FA so lets make it readable for the rest of the world. Seems like you are hell bent on using Marathi sources in English wikipedia even after repeated requests. This is a real pity for English wikipedia. Also since you claim to be using a book, please put full details of the book in the "reference" section in the same format as the other references. Also dont keep mixing Marathi and Maratha. Maratha is a caste, Marathi is a language. thanks.Dineshkannambadi 15:09, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

Do you know the meaning of the word "preference"?.thanks.Dineshkannambadi 18:48, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
"Above is the meaning if u want it. Preference comes into picture when the claim has two citations in differnent langauges and one has to be chosen. Preference comes when choice has to be made"

You got it right. So we remove the Marathi citation and keep the English one as it has preference, especially when there is a contest. Do you get it now? Also dont try to fool us by giving the English language eqvivalent name of your native language book in the citation. This is not over yet.thanks.Dineshkannambadi 19:00, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

People have the same impression about you.thanks.Dineshkannambadi 19:28, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

{{helpme}}

Mr.kannambadi is removing cited info at rashtrakutas and chalukya. I have quoted english books and some Marathi books. Mr.Kannambadi proclaims that he will not allow marathi books and deletes all my additions. Whereas Wiki policies no where say that Marathi books cannot be quoted. Plz stop him. Sarvabhaum 06:51, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

There has been quite a bit of discussion concerning the use of non-English texts as sources. You can find the discussion at Talk:Chalukya dynasty#Descendents of chalukyas and the sections following that one. SWAdair | Talk 07:42, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
Probably the best way to handle it is to bring it up on either the article talk page or his talk page. You might ask that he not revert but selectively edit to remove only the non-English references. Also, on your part, it would be best if you only used verifiable (English) references, and if you feel that you absolutely must include a non-English reference, do that as a separate edit. If you leave that as your last edit, then it will be easier for someone to revert *only* that part without reverting your other (non-controversial) edits. SWAdair | Talk 11:13, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

Seuna and other pages

I've e-mailed User:Dineshkannambadi asking him not to indulge in revert wars. I have also pointed out that the non-English citations are valid, although they should be avoided when suitable English citations are available.

If you two feel that talks are not resulting in any consensus, it's better to go for a formal dispute resolution process instead of indulging in revert wars.

As about the Seuna Yadavas page, there's no need to trim the Karnataka section since it's cited -- it'll be better to work on expanding the Marathi section instead. Keep cool! utcursch | talk 12:22, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

chalukya

You gave misinformation (as expected) when you claimed admin Utcursch uses Marathi language citations. I confirmed from him that he does not. Also Utcursch has confirmed to me that English language citations should be used as first preference and non_english citations should not be used when English books are available. thanks.Dineshkannambadi 14:42, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

"Also Utcursch has confirmed to me that English language citations should be used as first preference and non_english citations should not be used when English books are available".

Since there is no shortage of English language books, please remove your marathi book citations "and the sentences they are citing".Find english books and start quoting from them. Or please stay out of these articles you are unnecessarily holding up.thanks.Dineshkannambadi 15:59, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

If you are concerned about a Marathi book being used in the Seuna page, please discuss with utcursch and have that book and its citation removed. What is wrong on Seuna page cant become right on Chalukya page. It is not our job to go and clean up every article that uses non English books on English wiki nor are the mistakes by others a reason for us to make the same mistakes. If you feel Vaidya and Bhandarkar's views are valid, find English books written by them and quote them. Their views on a Marathi book is not for English wiki, but perhaps for Marathi wiki.thanks.Dineshkannambadi 16:07, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
your comment "Preference comes to picture when same matter is available with the books/websites"

my reply-->Preference comes to picture when the matter is conflicting. If the matter is the same in both books (both language books), there is no issue of preference. I hope you understand this point.thanks.Dineshkannambadi 16:19, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

Your edits on my talk page

The so called cited information you are referring to is disputed and please refrain from using them again. Also, stop your incivil and personal attacks against other edits and accusing them of sockpuppettry. Also, please note that it is you, who has been confirmed a sockpuppet master and using block evading sockpuppets on multiple occasions (, , and ). --Naveen 16:47, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
