Hello MensKeperRa, | |||
I have observed your actions regarding the ] for article ], and I feel you may be a little too much emotionally involved. You are not violating any policy or anything, no one's going to slap warning templates on this page; but you seem to be arguing with all those who wish to keep the article. Please don't; if the article really ''is'' spam, then rest assured it will be deleted; if not, then perhaps your definition of advertising differs from that of others. That is not to say your definition is ''wrong'', but perhaps other Wikipedians hold different standards. I would personally suggest that you withdrew from the AfD for the time being, and let it run its course. It can only do what is supposed to do. There are plenty of people to argue your case for you.
I know you really care about Misplaced Pages, and want to save it from the marshes and bogs of adverts and spam. However, arguing about it in an AfD is not the way to go.

Sallie Ann Glassman
I am requesting the addition of Sallie Ann Glassman to Misplaced Pages.
For those of you who do not know her, Sallie Ann Glassman is an artist of incredible talent and is considered by many to be the reigning Voodoo Queen of New Orleans and the heiress to Marie Laveau. She is a Mambo, having received initiation into the third and final grade of Voodoo in Haiti. Her art has graced public buildings in New Orleans and has served as the covers for a number of books. She has illustrated The New Orleans Voodoo Tarot and the Enochian Tarot. She has authored a book entitled Vodou Visions: An Encounter with Divine Mystery which made Voodoo approachable to many seekers.
Ms. Glassman is currently involved in the campaign to re-build New Orleans (post Katrina) and is working on the Heritage Preservation Project, an effort to preserve the Voodoo culture and lifestyle that has informed New Orleans for nearly 500 years.
If ever there was a living occultist worthy of a Misplaced Pages entry, it would have to be Sallie Ann Glassman.
- Hi, I deleted this article because it failed to meet the following policies:
- It did not give any sources for the information.
- It did not provide any independent verifiable evidence that Ms glassman was notable enough for an article. See here
- Hi. To elaborate and explain it another way, for the purposes of Misplaced Pages it is, at times, not so much a matter of what something or someone is or isn't...it's about what can be and is cited. In this way, Misplaced Pages isn't like a traditional encyclopedia in which we rely upon the credibility of its editors. Instead, its a hybred of that and an index to information that exists elsewhere: book, the web, magazines, etc. I just did a web search on Sallie Ann Glassman and it seems yeah, she's Wik-worthy. I'm going to whip up an article on her and you can see how it establishes her notability. So don't be discouraged and welcome to Misplaced Pages. House of Scandal 10:48, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
- Okay, I jotted down a short article on Glassman. It's short and could be much-expanded, but I doubt it will become a candidate for deletion. House of Scandal 15:03, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
Cleanup tag
Please note that cleanup relates solely to issues with clarity and has nothing to do with content. Perhaps an NPOV tag on the OTO page might be more appropriate. However, I've found that it's best, except in extremely grave content errors, to get one's hands dirty and just do some editing. I understand the difficulties with this content, given that the subject is an editor at wikipedia. However, if you try to build consensus with discussions over specific versions of content using the policies of Misplaced Pages as guidelines, this can help create stable versions. --Jackhorkheimer 21:56, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
Thank You
I would like to thank the various Misplaced Pages editors, contributors, and "hall monitors" (for lack of a better term-- no disrespect intended) for helping me to better understand the nature of Misplaced Pages, its policies, and its procedures.
This site is certainly one of the best sources for information on the World Wide Web. Its high standards help make it a reliable source of information. I will do my utmost to contribute to Misplaced Pages in a reliable and responsible way. I gladly appreciate any help, advice, or constructive criticism offered.

Its important to sign all text on talk and discussion pages with the 4-squiggle mark. To not do so in conspicuous and slightly discrediting. Glad to help! Happy New Year. ◄HouseOfScandal► 09:30, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

Your AMA Request
Hi MensKeperRa, I'm Royalguard11 from the AMA. I have decided to accept your case regarding the page Talk:Gerald del Campo. I have read through the page. From my understanding, the user you are in dispute will is angry that an article he created/worked on was deleted. I have reviewed the AFD also, and would have come to the same decision as the closing admin. The comments seem to be borderlining on personal attacks, which have no place in a community like Misplaced Pages. If I have missed anything, please tell me. -Royalguard11(Talk·Desk·Review Me!) 20:22, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

See Misplaced Pages:Barnstars. On my userpage, not my talk page. ;-) Grandmasterka 06:21, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
