Bishzilla
Voice your opinion (25/12/4/1/3/1/1); Scheduled to end 23:59:59, 31 December 2999 (UTC)
Bishzilla (talk · contribs) - Bishzilla would be the ideal administrator. Anyone who says otherwise is itchin' for a fight. She graduated from admin school with a bare minimum of collateral damage, maiming only three newbies, two of whom may yet recover. It is my grave honor to nominate this proud giant reptile. —Bunchofgrapes (talk) 17:19, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
Me, hairy beast from the deep woods, want to convince youze people to make Bishzilla an admin. Why? Well, for one, cause I said so, that's why. But mainly because of what might happen if you DON'T! Save youzeselves a lot of grief and just vote "Support".--Bigfoot 17:39, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you Bigfoot! Bishzilla bigger feet! (Insert little joke about treading on Tokyo here. Bishzilla learn about joking in admin school, now have very good personality!) Bishzilla | grrrr! 18:40, 24 January 2007 (UTC).
- Candidate, please indicate acceptance of the nomination here: Grrrr!!! Bishzilla | grrrr! 00:55, 23 January 2007 (UTC).
Bishzilla honest candidate, upfront, admit unusual status as sockpuppet of admin (Bishonen). Bishzilla can't help her origins, has risen above! Claim independence, has escaped puppeteer control. (Bishonen scared of her!) Zilla deserve her own bit! Will not object to removal of weenie Bishonen's bit, Zilla more useful admin!
- Questions for the candidate
Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Misplaced Pages in this capacity. Please take the time to answer a few generic questions to provide guidance for participants:
- 1. What sysop chores do you anticipate helping with? Please check out Category:Misplaced Pages backlog and Category:Administrative backlog, and read the page about administrators and the administrators' reading list.
- A: Toooooools! Less talk, more tools!
- 2. Of your articles or contributions to Misplaced Pages, are there any with which you are particularly pleased, and why?
- A: Zilla not strong content contributor. Motto: "More bull, less writing." Zilla more wikignome. Take pride in history merge of Talk:Lufthansa with Portal:India. Complicated! Bishzilla cleverly make talkpage link for Zilla sig . See how cool: Bishzilla | grrrr! Looking forward to developer status!
- Bishzilla unjustly accused of being merely popular #wikipedia IRC personality. Clearly untrue, active on wiki also, kindly and helpful. See for example Random Acts of Kindness Barnstar from User:MONGO. No bribes involved, MONGO never on IRC, great guy!
- Bishzilla learn good admin personality in admin school. Receive successful personal coaching in good sense of humor, laugh uproariously at Megatokyo Rent-A-Zilla, at which would only have stared when newbie. Thank you admin school!
- 3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or have other users caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- A: Bastique place welcome template when Zilla already welcomed by the venerable Bishonen, grrrr, cause much stress! Deal with by eating welcome wagon, will continue to eat those. Admin school say not eat users themselves in future, eat inanimate objects only. Check. Bishzilla eager to learn! Will apologize to Bastique's family as soon as located. (Seem to be in hiding.)
- Gurch block Zilla for accidentally squashing Gurchzilla, grrrrr, unjust and stressful! Zilla deal well, graciously accept apology and compensation, hug little user. Oops. Zilla learning to hug little users more gently, always ready to learn, very keen user! Give tools soon!
- 4. If you become a bureaucrat, will you pledge not to discuss promotion or non-promotion of potential admins on any other forum during the course of nominations and especially when making a decision? And to discuss issues of promotion or non-promotion only with other bureaucrats, in their talk, where such discussion would be transparent? (I admit it might be a bit early to ask this, but you never know...) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Ais523 (talk • contribs) 16:59, 24 January 2007 (UTC).

- 5.: Do you prefer to eat the firstborn children of vandals, or of spammers? ✎ Peter M Dodge ( Talk to Me • Neutrality Project ) 17:49, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
- 6. If appointed, will you be open to recall, and, if so, under what circumstances? TheronJ 18:32, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
- A: No worries, Bishzilla recall if three little users request. (Bishzilla can count to three, learn many new skills in admin school.) Three little users will be BURNED TO CRISPS, fair exchange. Sorry miss question before. Now support, little ThereonJ? Bishzilla | grrrr! 10:15, 29 January 2007 (UTC).
- Optional question from Irpen
- 7. If elected, do you plan to join #wikipedia-en-admins? (I can't support you if you plan to avoid this valuable communication medium). --Irpen 04:11, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
- Optional question from Dragons flight
- 8. Are you a dragon, or in any way related to dragons? Dragons flight 10:20, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
- Optional question from Bubba hotep
- 9. Is it true that the candidate: (a) came up from the depths, (b) is thirty stories high, (c) breathing fire, (d) head in the sky, (e) Bishzilla! Bishzilla! Bishzilla!, (f) ... and Bishzookie. Or am I confusing you with someone/thing else? Bubba hotep 21:56, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
- A: Cousin Godzilla maybe? Bishzilla up from deeps, no depths involved. Regret mere ten stories high, but Bishzilla spiderman suit fit all the better when climbing Reichstag. Bishzilla | grrrr! 22:36, 30 January 2007 (UTC).
- Mandatory question from Khoikhoi
- 10. What do you think of Mothra? Have you ever had feelings towards him/her/it? Khoikhoi 04:26, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
- General comments
- An alternate account of Bishonen, which is already an admin. Is this nomination a joke? Michaelas10 (Talk) 17:23, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
- This question cracks me up. It's an indictment either of the voters or, much more likely, the quality of recent RFA candidates. That's why this satire is a good blowing off of steam. Geogre 11:50, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
Discussion
NOTE: RfA is a vote, not a discussion. Any votes with additional comments will be discounted.
Support
- Support: I have every confidence this candidate would not misuse the tools. Eat them, maybe, but not misuse them. With regard to the concern that the candidate is non-human, in reviewing the current list of admins I note the presence of a chihuahua, a porpoise, a mouse, an eagle, a crustacian, a gerbil, and a most to the point a dragon, among others, so that precedent was set a long time ago. I trust Bishzilla to know when to give users a gentle hug and when it's time for something more like aggressive taunting with a suggestion of death. I hope that's okay, 'zilla, please don't kill me. Newyorkbrad 13:32, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
- In the interest of not being burnt to a crisp, I Support this candidate. (If you need help answering optional questions, you can use my cheat sheet). NoSeptember 13:38, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

- Weak Support - Mentions about the fact that candidate graduated from admin school with a bare minimum of collateral damage, maiming only three newbies raise concerns of disregard for WP:BITE but I trust the candidate has left all that behind. Roadmr (t|c) 17:33, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

- Kill all humans - with so many of them editing it's obviously gonna cause a near catastrophe of a systemic bias, 'bout time they were culled. So, Bishzilla's eaten a few editors here and there, <BURP> who hasn't, all it taught me was Mexicans give me indigestion... I stand in awe of Bishzilla, well I pretty much have to stand for everything since Bishzilla ate my furniture last week, I'm not complaining mind you, it was only fair, it was all paisley. The answer to quesiton one really swung it for me though.--Alf 18:14, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
- Would normally oppose or not vote at all because of candidate's low edit count, but am happy to support on condition that you promise to be as like Bishonen as possible! Musical Linguist 19:06, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
- SUPPORT!!!! I see that this has been closed! The end of the world is now a likely prospect! I told you folks to vote suppport...think of your homes, your children, your goldfish! Don't you see what you have done?! Oh, the horror, the horror!--Bigfoot 19:22, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

- Strong support, right attitude, convincing answers to the questions. We need more IRC admins to block the fickle and ill-informed users who forget where they belong. --Irpen 18:58, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
- Support all fire breathing dragons. Dragons flight 23:11, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
- Reluctant support I'm afraid that the candidate's answers to my questions were perhaps too calm and collected. I feel that I cannot have confidence in an administrator who cannot be relied on to over-react and act rationally. But most of all, I am afraid. Hence the reluctant support. Don't want to end up with bits of chewed up cat or hedgehog in my garden, after all. They play havoc with the Flymo blades. Bubba hotep 22:47, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
- Saurpport. Adminship should be no big deal, although the prospective admin candidate seems to be a big deal. Besides, we need more rouge admins. --Elkman - (Elkspeak) 02:36, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

Oppose 47 edits...--Wizardman 16:54, 24 January 2007 (UTC)Changed to Pie.- This kind of editcountitis makes me sick! Do you trust the user or not, that's all that matters. —Bunchofgrapes (talk) 16:56, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
- I've actually gotten bette with that, supporting peope with only 1500-odd edits. However, I can't tell whether ou would be good with the tools or not. And because I can't tell, I therefore can't trust.--Wizardman 16:58, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
- And may I add that hhe's technically already an admin, no need to be a double-admin.--Wizardman 17:00, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

- Strong Oppose Edit count is an extreme consideration and the answers to the questions are quite weak, especially to question one, I'm not sure whether I'd trust this user just yet. Give it a few months and about 3,000 mainspace contribs and work in policy areas then I'd probably support. Tellyaddict 17:07, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose. I'm sorry, but 47 edits and 11 projectspace don't much experience on Misplaced Pages, and I cannot entrust this user to perform a good use of the tools. The answers are absurd, specificly to question one, which needs to be threated very seriously. Please keep editing on Misplaced Pages for a few months and come back. Michaelas10 (Talk) 17:18, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose. Piss-take. RfA is sucky enough without administrators (who frighteningly appears to know nothing about WP:SIG) using the RfA process for personal amusement. --Kind Regards - Heligoland 17:33, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose. This seems to be a joke, much like AntiVandalBot running for ArbCom. Just my two-bits. Bushcarrot (Talk·Desk) 18:00, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
- Strong Oppose. The Baboon insists that policy be modified immediately so as to permit only primates to receive administrator privileges. The Baboon despises all lower evolutionary forms with their inadequate cranial volume. - Tragic Baboon (banana receptacle) 18:07, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

- Oppose: Reluctantly. I'm afraid as a user of Cretaceous age, you are at least 160 million years older than most of your admin colleagues who seem to average 7-17 years old. I'm concerned that the age gap may present some difficulties. --Mcginnly | Natter 01:21, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
- Million Shmillion. Bishzilla act young! Spontaneous, madcap personality. Learn cool kid demeanor in admin school, personal coach only 9 years old. On Intarweb, nobody knows you old! Bishzilla climb Reichstag dressed as Spiderman. 17:13, 27 January 2007 (UTC).
- Reluctant oppose: I admire Bishzilla's strong mainspace contributions, and applaud her for being open to recall. However, her stated intention to "flame" critics only exacerbates the WP:BITE concerns raised above. I encourage Bishzilla to join the Association of Member's Advocates instead, where her skills might be put to better use. TheronJ 19:14, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
- Strong oppose - I am uneasy with the concept of having an admin who is as comfortable with destroying entire cities with her sheer physical might, and then seizing the few survivors in her cruel talons and incinerating them with her fiery nuclear exhalations, as Bishzilla is. Perhaps she would do better on Citizendium. DS 19:34, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

- Neutral: I share the concern over reptiles being given the admin buttons- so far nearly all successful admins have been mammals. Also this editor seems to have questionable language skills in almost all areas except roaring. There's already too much percieved division between admins and non-admins, and we don't want to encourage the notion that admins are big scary roaring monsters by appointing actual big scary roaring monsters. All that said, I really cannot bring myself to oppose either, mainly out of fear of being eaten. If this editor can evolve a bit and get back to us, I may be able to support in an era or two.
