==Welcome back!== == Thanks ==

I appreciate ]. I certainly have nothing against you personally or the idea of you being resysopped, but we've had several cases of "old crowd" admins returning after long periods of inactivity and being out-of-touch with what our policies and guidelines have become over the years. This is ultimately bad for the site (drama, disruption, often an ArbCom case) ''and'' for the returning admin (being dragged to ANI or ArbCom, sometimes even desysopped). I'd love to see you return to activity, including administrative activity once you've had a chance to re-acclimate yourself to the project. Many things have changed even since my join date (2015). == Misplaced Pages voting question ==

Hi, sorry to bother you, but you've helped me out in the past and I don't really know who to turn to regarding certain Misplaced Pages questions. An article I worked on (]) is up for deletion. It's been up for about a year and has been added to and modified, mostly for the better, so I'd really like the article to stay put. My question is this: who usually ends up voting when an article is up for deletion? How do people know there's a vote taking place? I love that Misplaced Pages is a huge democracy, but I don't understand how users know what to vote for or when. Thanks for your time. ] (]) 05:20, 4 September 2008 (UTC)

ArbCom 2017 election voter message

Hello, Lord Voldemort. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Misplaced Pages arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)
