Dhabouli is a large village situated in Saharsa district in Bihar, India. It is close to Madhepura town.This village is the symbol of equality on the basis of caste and religion.People of different castes are living with peace and prosperity. All are like brothers and friends.Here, Rajput, Brahman,nayee, dhobi, yadav, harijans are living . The main occupation of the people living is farming. But , due to reducing of land now a number of youth are living in metrocities for their livelihood. Even they are educated but they have not technical education . There are a number of people of village who are doing differnt jobs in Government sector so they have now become migrants. This village has shown the days of prosperity when about 8,500 bigha land was under the possesssion of the villagers mostly rajputs. But by the wheel of time agriculture took dim light from Govt and land was sold by the landlords for their house hold expenditure.And now the landlords are lessening and mostly people are depended on Delhi and Mumbai for their livelyhood. Even many are engineers , doctors and teachers but the future of this village is not shown golden due to lack of technical education. This village has born mayny freedom fighters who sacrificed their whole life and wealth for the sake of independence of our golden country . This vilage enjoys every fecility like road , electricity, school but one what is most necessary is hospital and one college fo r technical education. Religious places :- 1. Baba Arjun Das kuti with Shiv Mandir :- Baba Arjun Das was a great saint and also a social worker of the society . It is said that he was an extraordinary saint . When some calamighty caused in the village he helped the villagers. In the ancient time when cholera was as epedimic and fire was a drastic problem of the village he helped villagers by his miracular powers. It is said when he worshiped the almighty his seat was in the air for the worshipping period. There is a temple of Lord Shiva and Lord Ram Shita and laxman with Hanuman ji here. It is said here all desires of the devotee are fulfilled . There is a well in the centre of the temple yard whose water tastes unique and cold in summer season and its water is used as medicine by the villagers in many ways. 2.Maa Durga Mandir and Hanuman Mandir :- This temple was established in 1936 .In the north eastern end of the village is situated the grand temple of Maa Durga and Lord Hanuman.Maa fulfills the desires of her devotees.Here every year, a fair is held and in navratra puja is performed for ten days continuously.During the Navratra idols of maa Durga, Kali, Laxmi, Saraswati, Lord Ganesha , Kartik, and Lord Shiva with parvati are established and puja is performed with great devotion . 3. Shivdatt baba mandir:- This mandir is situated in the begining of the village in the western end of the village. BABA SHIVDATT was the friend of the Rattu Singh who is the old father of Dhabouli.Baba is almighty and fulfills the wishes of the devotees . It is assumed that He guards the village from calamighty and evil powers. People from the far of places come and worship him . It is said that when cattle of farmers fall ill they remember god Shivdatt baba and Baba make them fine.So they offer milk to Baba. 4. Mauni Baba kuti:- Mouni Baba was a great saint of His time it is said about him he did not speak but express by writing on the slate with pencil for the solution of the problem of society. He was a great social reformer and spititual thinker. His kuti is situated at Kahra village which is also in Dhabouli west panchayat. People experience peace and happiness in his Kuti and worship the great saint which is assumed God
