Fair use for Reign In Blood

This image, Reign in blood.jpg is being linked here; though the picture is subject to copyright I, M3tal H3ad 01:30, 6 December 2006 (UTC) feel it is covered by the U.S. fair use laws because:

• It is a picture of the article on the album
• It is a low resolution copy of a CD album cover;
• It does not limit the copyright owner's rights to sell the CD album in any way;
• Copies could not be used to make illegal copies of the album artwork on another CD;
• The image on the cover is significant because it was made by a famous artist, Slayer.

1. it is a low-resolution reproduction;
2. it does not limit the copyright owner's rights to sell the album in any way;
3. it does not interfere with the copyright owner's ability to promote the album in any way;
4. it is being used only for informational purposes; and
5. its inclusion adds significantly to the article because it illustrates (a) one of the most important albums in the development of the specific metal subgenre, thrash metal, being discussed, (b) the notable imagery employed by the band, as discussed in the accompanying text, and (c) one of the most critically acclaimed of any metal albums, as discussed in the accompanying text.
