| I am a computer scientist by training, so naturally I put some of that effort into Misplaced Pages. Here is a nonexhaustive list of programs that I've written that perform various tasks on Misplaced Pages. They're written in Perl and they're definitely not Misplaced Pages bots. For the most part they retrieve a page automatically and return its Wiki source modified in some manner, then you copy that back into the edit box, verify that it is correct, and save. About meI've been an editor on Misplaced Pages for a long time (coming up on nineteen years as of 2021). For the majority of those years now I've also been an administrator. I'm mostly interested in anything having to do with science, including but not limited to, evolution, encryption, astronomy, science fiction, SETI, and computer programming. Professionally, I'm a software engineer. I'm also interested in politics, mostly because of the negative influence on science it's been having lately. I am an unabashed naturalist. I also contribute on Meta and Commons. Misplaced Pages programsI've written some programs to perform useful tasks on Misplaced Pages. All of them are released under the GNU General Public License.
