Support the Bengali language movement is not known just as "Language Movement". Geeti Sen - Crossing Boundaries 1997 "The Bengali Language Movement of 1952 brought a significant change in the literature of this region, especially in the field of poetry" In ictu oculi (talk) 18:45, 10 November 2018 (UTC)
Move to Bengali language movement, per MOS:DOCTCAPS (we do not capitalize movement names, unless reliable sources consistently treat them as proper name; cf. years of debate about "the civil rights movement", "African-American civil rights movement", etc., concluding in favor of lowercase). Furthermore, this is a translation anyway, from a language that doesn't even have letter case, so this over-capitalization is against MOS:FOREIGNCAPS. The article text will need conforming cleanup. — SMcCandlish☏¢ 😼 16:45, 12 November 2018 (UTC)
Comment: Definitely the letter case should be changed but not sure if it should be moved back. It is probably the most prominent of other movements thus named, i.e., "Language movement" even being the factor for the international UN day. I agree the title itself is ambiguous but that shouldn't be a point to change it though if the majority of sources refer to it as the previous title then it should be changed. Oppose not all topics are the same. This here is the main topic. The Bengali language movement in India received 2,640 views this year while the Bengali language movement received 115,021 views. Clearly, one topic is the primary topic.Vinegarymass911 (talk) 07:19, 28 December 2022 (UTC)
