Hi {{BASEPAGENAME}}, | |||
==Re: HOMOSEXUALS ARE GAY==
I cannot tell you how embarassed I am about reverting the page back to its vandalized state. I have just been through a similar situation with another editor, and clearly need to be more careful about ''which'' versions I revert. My best guess as to what happened is either 1) both 68.50.239.168 and I tried to correct the article at the same time, or 2) I saw that the edit summary for user 68.50.239.168 was described as "HOMOSEXUALS ARE GAY," I assumed that ''they'' had been the one commiting the vandalism, instead of correcting it. Though you probably already know this, it was as far as I can tell, anonymous user 58.165.154.122 who originally renamed that section. Either way, I'm very sorry for my carelessness, hope you forgive me, and thank you for correcting my mistake and bringing it to my attention. :) --] 03:23, 29 September 2008 (UTC)

Hi FlyingToaster,
In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.

Speedy deletion nomination of John Turner (Texas politician)
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on John Turner (Texas politician) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. reddogsix (talk) 05:03, 14 August 2018 (UTC)

ArbCom 2018 election voter message
Hello, FlyingToaster. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. All users who registered an account before Sunday, 28 October 2018, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Thursday, 1 November 2018 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Misplaced Pages arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

Proposed deletion of Ahistoricism
The article Ahistoricism has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
No clear topic. If converted to a dab, no clear alternate targets for the incoming links.
While all constructive contributions to Misplaced Pages are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:00, 3 March 2023 (UTC)
