Sockpuppet Dispute

Wiki Raja, if you disagree with the blocks of those sockpuppets, you need to contact the blocking admin (User:Nichalp), or ask for a review on WP:ANI. WP:SSP isn't a place to prove your innocence. Please note that I have no opinion whatsoever about the merits of these blocks, or whether you're a sockpuppeteer; I closed the case because I noticed someone else had blocked those accounts. Thanks for the advice. As for the other three that were blocked, there is no connection between and those users. Once again, this is just another tactic by this particular interest group to be used against me. They saw that they were losing in this vote to keep a particular Category, so they went on a witch hunt to try to disqualify people. Thanks anyways for your help. You can request a wikipedia:checkuser to be done to clear your name. I've gone ahead and blocked those accounts permanently as they were created for the sole purpose of influencing the outcome of the deletion. Regards, =Nichalp «Talk»= 18:38, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

I would have done a checkusera long time ago. However, on the requirement box it stated, "Checkuser on yourself to "prove your innocence" These requests are not performed. Please do not ask." So, what does that mean? Wiki Raja 19:11, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

Sock puppet issues take a long time to resolve, any one can mark any editor as a suspected sock puppet. It will stay on for 10 days then it comes out. Once it comes out you have wait the 2 months (that's the backlog) to resolve the case. Unless the disruptive behavior is so bad that some admin will do a RFU on those accounts. Usually it is the last resort. If a Suspected sock puppet case is opened against you (it can only be after be XFD closes) then you please your innocence there, no where else. Don’t open up ANI on issues that are not issues. If you suspect Ganapati is sock of somebody else, then under that editors sign you write that the above user is suspected sock puppet of so and so and link the reference case to it so the clsing admin will take that into account. If I were you, then I will stay calm under alleged provocation, always follow the rules. XFD brings the worst out of people, those who are for it and against it. This is when people trip up and get themselves banned. I’ve seen it number of times, no article or category is worth it. If you feel so strong about Tamil Americans then what is needed is an article on Tamil Americans first. That article can later become the base for a category. I find that route much easier than the other. There a 1000s of years left on this Misplaced Pages, we will all be dead and gone by the time Misplaced Pages is no longer a valid tool. I see above that user RaveenS has given you some smart and sound advice. He advices you to plaster a note next to this 'Ganapati's' signature to warn people that he may be a sock of another user. My only advice to you as a fellow.. er.. 'Dravidian' is that before you stamp such a notice, make sure that the user(Ganapati or Raveena or whoever) is indeed a confirmed sockpuppet or at the very least that there indeed is valid reason for you to believe so. Otherwise, I am afraid that the user may haul you up for a violation of WP:NPA and you may getpacked off to the Himalayas by some admin, with nothing but user RaveenS' sublime philosophy to reflect and meditate upon. Please don't send me threats on my talk page. It seems that everytime I turn my head, you and Bakasuprman tend to report me for single thing.
