He wrote "Trains Up in the Sky", "Again and Again" and "Jesus It's You" songs for Mylon LeFevre and Broken Heart which all went number #1 along with many others hits for himself, "Rejoice" "Is it Right" "Bethlehem" all going top 5 on radio. He wrote "Mighty Spirit" for Larnell Harris, which was chosen by President George H. Bush to be the theme song for the "Points of light" campaign. It is the longest running PSA in the history of television. Sing Out and Mighty Spirit are the two tunes in a ballet by George Faison called Slaves, written and performed by "the Alvin Ailey dance company" in NY.NY... His sons (Solomon "Dove award winner", Joshua and Jacob both multiple Dove award nominees) are in the popular pop band "Family Force 5" | |||
