yadda, yadda, yadda... I've done this and I've done that. blah blah blah and I think I'm as wonderful as Anon Duel Kin, or should that be Alone Unkind??? (sic)

No, but seriously folks, I have no ego here on Wiki, I am simply wishing to add my knowledge to a few selected topics that I do know something about. There seems to be far too many people on Wiki who think they know a lot about everything and actually only regurgitate drivel from books or other websites and then get all uppity if you 'dare' to correct them on anything.

Despite having a family heritage going back to pre-Norman times, and having raised about £9.1m for various charities in the UK, I have no desire to inflate my ego by putting up any details about how wonderful I am, and scraping every barrel in Christendom in a desperate attempt to find press articles. I also don't have a little posse of sock-puppets to come running to my defence - I fight my battles on my own.

There are plenty of press references if you really want them - you can find them on Google, or the sites associated with those organisations that the family Trust supports or the events that I have run, or companies in which I hold a directorship. It's all public info, so no secrets here, and I really don't care two hoots if you are Royalty or commoner, we are all equal in the eyes of those that matter.

To that end Misplaced Pages should remain an encyclopaedic medium, not a self-promotion website for wannabe saddo Z-listers to start pushing their CVs about their very non-eventful and insignificant lives. It's even worse when they blatantly lie about how good they claim to be... but there again, in the Utopian World that is the rainbow-coloured fluffy-cloud fantasy land that they live in, there is no bulls**t - it's all true... honest guv!!

So, no ego-page, I'm afraid, nor one constructed on Wiki by my imaginary sock-puppet buddy list of similarly egotistical Muppets who go all dewy eyed at the Z-listers on Wiki, and create their entries for them, and then bunch together and get all aggressive when an intelligent Wiki moderator suggests that such an entry doesn't actually merit an entry.

It's even funnier when the subject themselves actually creates the majority of the text in a blatant exercise in self-promotion and ego-trip, and then tries denying it. What's even funnier then is when you show them the history of their own contribution - which is irrefutable - and then they go very silent for while, then go into a childish sulk, and then go sobbing off to the Mods to complain that you've been a nasty-wasty man who should be suspended.

Nothing would give me greater pleasure than being suspended for exposing such blatantly trivial Muppetry - I would consider it an honour.

So, I give you nothing more than:
1) a little bit of aviation particualrly display and aerobatics (I have a few vintage jets on the display circuit, so know from an owner's and historical point of view)
2) Medieval history - I hold a doctrine in English history and it is a most fascinating subject. To that end I know a fair amount about the Templars as I own a large private collection (from our family records) of documents and also assist on the website for the Grand Priory of Knights Templar in England.
3) maybe a smidgen of heraldry if you need any help.

That's all folks.

I said that's all!! what were you expecting down here - some photo of me trying to look all moody and dramatically intellectual, with maybe some projected code illuminated against me to look all secret and estoteric!! :-)
Now be off with you ... and go do some contributing!
