'''Eileen Galvin''' is a character that appears in the ] video game '']''. She is ]'s young neighbour, living adjacent to his apartment in Room 303, and is presumably in her early twenties. Although Henry has lived at the South Ashfield Heights apartment building for over two years, Eileen has only a passing familiarity with him. It is possible that Eileen lived in Room 303 long before Henry's arrival. |

== Personality == |
|
|
Eileen's first speaking appearance suggests that she has an outgoing personality and may have feelings for Henry; Henry looks through the peephole and sees Eileen looking right at his door and speaking to herself about a party later that evening and her wish to invite Henry to it. It also appears that her past relationships or a recent break-up have affected her outlook. The game booklet states that "She has a kind personality," and this seems likely considering her neighbors' friendliness towards her. |

Eileen seems unnaturally aware of her surroundings and the comings-and-goings of her fellow residents. She is the first to notice that Henry has not left his apartment for some time and called the building's superintendent, ], asking him to check up on Henry. Later, she questions other residents regarding Henry's background and activities, albeit to no avail. |

She appears to enjoy collecting ], animals presumably (she owns a stuffed toy of the Lakeside Amusement Park's mascot, "Robbie the Rabbit," clearly visible from the hole in Henry's wall). This would suggest that, like Henry, Eileen has either lived in or visited Silent Hill at some point in her life. She is also very conscientious of the tidiness and cleanliness of her apartment, as she can be seen determinedly searching for her broom in one instance. |

Eileen is a deeply caring person who empathizes strongly with Walter's tragic past. Her act of giving him her doll when she was a child makes her the only character who has attempted to comfort and console him. This is in stark contrast to her fellow neighbors, including Henry, who perceives Walter as nothing more than a psychotic murderer, and wishes only to escape his grasp. ]'s contempt for Walter extends even further. He was the person responsible for chasing Walter away from the apartment building when Walter was a child who would wander the halls, hoping to catch a glimpse of his "mother," Room 302. After becoming trapped in Walter's world, Richard shows nothing but disgust for Walter and attempts to hunt him down. |

== Role in the Game == |

Eileen eventually becomes trapped alongside ] in ]'s nightmare world and is severely injured by Walter Sullivan before Henry is able to rescue her from her apartment, though she survives the attack unlike all his other victims because the younger version of Walter intervenes in the older Walter's attempt on her life. Slipping back into reality momentarily, Eileen is immediately rushed to ] for emergency treatment. When she awakens, she finds herself, once again, caught in Walter's hellish reality, but with the advantage of having Henry to accompany her throughout the ordeal. |

Although badly injured and frightened, Eileen will assist Henry during conflict. She will initially attack opponents with her weak and short-ranged handbag, but Henry is able to locate and provide Eileen with larger and more dangerous bludgeoning objects such as chains and batons. As the game progresses, it becomes evident that Eileen is being slowly possessed by Walter. Presumably this is so that he may better control her due to the integral role she plays as the pivotal sacrifice in the "21 Sacraments" ritual. When Eileen takes heavy damage during battle, she will be strongly influenced and controlled by this force. This will become evident when her speech pattern reverts to an almost infant-like manner, for example: "I'm scawed!" Eventually, she will no longer render assistance to Henry and will simply stand close by, taunting him with strange remarks. If damage continues to occur, Eileen will begin attacking herself with whatever weapon she happens to be carrying at the time. |
