The detailed story is told here:

http://holocaustcontroversies.blogspot.com/2006/10/on-demise-of-deathcampsorg-how-fakes.html

That I was a member can be confirmed by going to http://www.deathcamps.org/gas_chambers/gas_chambers_auschwitz.html

:"An unpublished Einsatzgruppe B report from 1 March 1942 (Osobyj Arkhiv in Moscow, 500-1-770, p. 8; also in USHMM, RG-11.001M.01, reel 10, 500-1-770) mentions two Saurer gas vans ("Gaswagen" is the term used) which had arrived in Smolensk on 23 February 1942.
:Now our ARC member from Russia has found that, according to this report, one of these gas vans (the one that belonged to Einsatzkommando 8) had the same license plate "Pol 71462" as the gas van which has been described by the Auschwitz resistance!"

Compare this to http://holocaustcontroversies.blogspot.com/2006/10/how-convergence-of-evidence-works-gas.html</li>

<li>2. As shown at http://holocaustcontroversies.blogspot.com/2006/10/on-demise-of-deathcampsorg-how-fakes.html, the old deathcamps.org site contains fraudulent materials, and is therefore unreliable. (It is also unreliable because it is controlled by the person who introduced these materials to the group.)</li>

<li>3. '''The person owning the domain name does not necessarily own the copyright on the material of the site itself.'''

The person currently owning deathcamps.org was a secretary in the group. He did not - and does not - own the material.</li>

<li>4. deathcamps.org currently contains what could only be called "stolen" materials. deathcamps.org had several "independent" websites "inside", one of them called "Overview of Nazi-Germany´s Concentration Camps 1933/34-1945". The owner of this sub-website asked it to be deleted from deathcamps.org (http://www.deathcamps.org/websites/jmain.htm) because the only updated version can now be found at death-camps.org (http://www.death-camps.org/websites/jmain.htm)

Therefore, deathcamps.org owner violates copyright, not death-camps.org owner.</li>

<li>5. death-camps.org was registered by a former ARC member (who was a member until the break-up) at the behest of former ARC webmaster (again, who was such until the break-up). This site does not contain fraudulent materials introduced by the former ARC secretary, who is the owner of deathcamps.org.</li>

<li>6. Owner of deathcamps.org "hired" a former ARC member to be a webmaster at his new project, about which you can read here:

http://holocaustcontroversies.blogspot.com/2006/04/quick-links.html#heartexposed

This member had been excluded from the ARC group long before the break-up.</li>

<li>7. This webmaster has been vandalizing Misplaced Pages entries, trying to change death-camps.org into deathcamps.org. Most of the changes of deathcamps.org into death-camps.org were validly done when deathcamps.org was offline after the break-up.

This person has also spammed Misplaced Pages with the URL of the website of their new pet project. The result was the blacklisting of that particular site and deletion of that webmaster's account. The relevant links and screenshots can be found here:

http://holocaustcontroversies.blogspot.com/2006/11/heart-as-educational-resource.html</li>

<li>8. Now this same person has registered as User:ARC-deathcamps.org and promotes the false information about copyrights, calling the death-camps.org site "counterfeit".</li>

<li>9. The notices on the deathcamps.org website misinform the readers. Examples:

http://www.deathcamps.org/Archived.html

]

<ul><li>a) ''"Has been ARCHIVED INDEFINITELY as of – DEC 2006"''
<br><br>
''"The genuine ARC site will not be updated, modified or corrected as the key contributors have moved onto other projects. It will be archived indefinitely in the absolute state it was as of October of 2006."''
<br><br>
At one time the page at http://www.deathcamps.org/websites/ looked like this:
<br><br>

http://farm1.static.flickr.com/142/333165374_b1b0f5694c_o.jpg
<br><br>

Later it was changed back. This means that the current owner cannot be trusted in his claim to have "archived" the site.
<br><br>
He writes: "After all who can predict the future direction of any bogus website, and who would wish to?" - and it is true, indeed.</li>

<li>b) ''"When the original ARC Foundation International website – www.deathcamps.org was being planned in 2001, its aim was to inform the world about the Aktion Reinhard Camps and their role in the terrible tragedy that befell the Jews in Europe."''
<br><br>

''"-Trustee, and remaining members of ARC Foundation International"''

<br><br>First of all, the group ceased to exist in Oct. 2006. There are no "remaining members", as non-existent group cannot have any members. All "members" are former members.
<br><br>Second, the group was not planned as ARCFI. It was planned as ARC. It was "incorporated" - or whatever - as ARCFI at one moment in time, and it was a relatively short-live project.
<br><br>Let's look at what Wayback Machine contains:
<br><br>http://web.archive.org/web/*/www.deathcamps.org/disclaimer/
<br><br>You can see that ARC became ARCFI after Aug. 03, 2004.
<br><br>http://web.archive.org/web/*/www.deathcamps.org/contents/
<br><br>As you can see on this page, it ceased to be ARCFI and again became ARC before Aug. 16, 2005.
<br><br>'''It certainly wasn't ARCFI in Oct. 2006, as the current deathcamps.org "archived" site itself shows!'''
<br><br>Now, how reliable is the current owner if he spreads such a priori false information, can't even get the basic things straight?</li>

<li>c) ''"As the rightful owner, it is important to protect what was presented to the public. It is also important to protect copyright, for both the present and the future."''
<br><br>

''"Domain Registration & Official Copyright Information can be validated at the WHOIS website.''
<br>
''Beware of counterfeit ARC websites with hyphenated URL's."''
<br><br>

As pointed out above, the current owner of deathcamps.org '''domain''' is '''not''' also the owner of the ARC material, and is not a copyright holder. Moreover, the suggestion that '''copyright''' information can be validated through the ] service is preposterous.</li></ul></li></ul>

'''To sum it up: the site at deathcamps.org domain contains fake and stolen materials, its current owner is unreliable and distorts the truth in notices on the site, especially in what concerns the copyright issues; his helper and webmaster spreads false information on Misplaced Pages and elsewhere.'''

==Some hard wiki-evidence about the above case==

If you look at my history:

you can see that there is some person (guess who) who tried to vandalize my user page:

Notice the change in the URL. You can check out this person's URL, but beware - it is NOT safe for work!
