{{nihongo|'''Doctor Nefarious Tropy'''|ドクター エヌ トロピー|Dokutā Enu Toropī}}, commonly shortened to '''N. Tropy''', is a fictional character from ].

His name is a play on the word "]".

==Appearance==
N. Tropy's skin is of a light blue color. He has long eyebrows and two equally long and skinny beards, giving him a vaguely Asian appearance. He wears a golden-brown, smog-producing, piston-driven time machine, which appears to hide his lab coat. He wears a tall hat with a small silver fork (similar to the one he carries) on top and a small clock on the front. Lastly, his legs are long and skinny.

==Overview==
Nefarious Tropy is the self-proclaimed master of ] and quantum warp technology. He seems to be an acquaintance of ], called upon by the latter to help take over the world in '']''. However, he tends to get frustrated and tired when he repeatedly misses his target, as evidenced when Crash battles N. Tropy. This flaw helps Crash defeat N. Tropy, sending his Time Twister machine into disarray, turning him into a baby along with Cortex. He was the third boss of the game.

N. Tropy later mastered the relic races in '']'' and later '']'', whilst also helping ] with his super weapon, ]. He caused mass havoc when he teamed up with hypno-master ] but was thwarted once more.

N. Tropy's latest appearance was in '']'' as the fifth boss alongside ] when they, using the vast resources from ]'s company, hunted for treasure. They were easily thwarted by ]. It seems now that after the events of '']'', N. Tropy is no longer working aside the likes of Cortex, but instead working with N. Brio and N. Trance, although still on the same side as Uka Uka.

N.Tropy has a cameo appearance in ''Crash Boom Bang!'' in the "Silhouette Quiz" minigame.

==Weapon==
N. Tropy's weapon is a large silver fork that can produce fireballs, lasers and blue waves.

==Theme tunes==
*N. Tropy's theme tune in ''Crash Bandicoot: Warped'' consisted almost entirely of ]s, with a prominent ] digitally altered to make it play different notes.

==Voice actors==
He is voiced by the British voice actor ] in all his appearances except '']'', where he was voiced by ].

He is voiced by Masaru Ikeda in the Japanese dub of the games.

==Trivia==
*Tropy is one of the few characters who wears armor the whole time.
*In ''Crash Nitro Kart'', he, ], and ] were the only unlockable characters in the game who weren't seen in the cutscenes.
*His name is spelled 'N Trophy' in the credits for The Wrath Of Cortex.
*Similiar to ] from Ratchet and Clank Up Your Arsenal
