Hello Samboy,
Hi,
I’d like to add ] to the user list in the ARP 2600 article, but I can’t figure out how to add the footnote. She composed with the ARP 2600 and actually wrote a book about it:
This image was seemingly uploaded prior to current image polices, Thank you.

However, as part of ongoing efforts to ensure all media on English Misplaced Pages is correctly licensed and attributed it would be appreciated if you were able to confirm, that it was your own work, by marking it as {{tl|own}}, amending the {{tl|information}} added by a third party, and by changing the license to an appropriate "self" variant. You can also add <code><nowiki>|claimed=yes</nowiki></code> to the {{tl|Media by uploader}} or {{tl|Presumed self}} tag(s) if present to indicate that you've acknowledged the image, and license shown (and updated the {{tl|information}} where appropriate).

Could you explain how to add the footnote, or point me towards instructions? Thanks.

Hello! Voting in the 2019 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 on Monday, 2 December 2019. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Misplaced Pages arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2019 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:04, 19 November 2019 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of ValhallaDSP

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on ValhallaDSP, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Misplaced Pages:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. •≈20+π 20:13, 30 November 2019 (UTC)

Apology

Samboy I apologize for my wording at the Biden Talk page. I was operating from frustration and have no real excuse. I will update my entry. I am not always the best with wording, so it might take me a bit, but I wanted to get this out here first. Regards. --Davemoth (talk) 20:57, 2 April 2020 (UTC)

Thank you very much for the apology. It shows a strong character and a good person to do that, and you have earned my respect. If I have offended you in any way personally, I apologize too. I look forward to your continued contributions to the Misplaced Pages. Samboy (talk) 12:04, 3 April 2020 (UTC)

I don't know if it applies or not, but I've tried to file for a third opinion regarding the wording of Marvin Minsky's window's claim, per wp:3o:

It is recommended that the filing editor notifies the second editor about the post here. If the second editor disagrees with this process, the first editor still has the right to receive a third opinion; however, since this is non-binding, the second editor is free to ignore the third opinion if they wish to.

I field the issue as 'Disagreement over the use of the term "all of the visits to Epstein's residences".' Regards, Rolf H Nelson (talk) 22:26, 10 May 2020 (UTC)

I see the third opinion request was denied. While consensus can change, it hasn’t for the Marvin Minsky article. I don’t think consensus will change unless new information comes out, which is unlikely since Minsky passed away several years ago.
On a personal level, while I feel #MeToo has been a much needed counterbalance to the Free love movement started in the 1960s, it has also become in some ways a witch hunt. People tend to believe lurid stories of sex without looking at the evidence; see, for example the Duke lacrosse case or how many people believed the A Rape on Campus story, so I am very careful when it comes to allegations of sexual misconduct. Samboy (talk) 19:36, 14 May 2020 (UTC)

Nomination of Fantasque Sans Mono for deletion

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Fantasque Sans Mono is suitable for inclusion in Misplaced Pages according to Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/Fantasque Sans Mono until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. 1234qwer1234qwer4 (talk) 14:35, 13 June 2020 (UTC)

Fantasque Sans Mono is a beautiful open source font, no one is making money from the font, and it in no ways harms the Misplaced Pages to have a short article about something like this. It’s unfortunate rampant deletionism took over the Misplaced Pages; the Clarice Phelps affair shows how bad it has gotten. Samboy (talk) 22:12, 2 September 2020 (UTC)

Nomination of Luculent for deletion

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Luculent is suitable for inclusion in Misplaced Pages according to Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

ARP 2600

Hello Samboy, I’d like to add Mary McCarty Snow to the user list in the ARP 2600 article, but I can’t figure out how to add the footnote. She composed with the ARP 2600 and actually wrote a book about it:

Snow, Mary (1977-01-01). The waveform music book: Composing, teaching, performing electronic music with the Arp 2600 synthesizer. Lariken Press.

Could you explain how to add the footnote, or point me towards instructions? Thanks. T. E. Meeks (talk) 21:55, 7 February 2022 (UTC)

Do you have a reference backing up their use of the 2600? information on the Misplaced Pages should always be referenced. Samboy (talk) 00:02, 11 February 2022 (UTC)

Well, it looks like they finally filed an unblock request. A blank one, mind you, but they filed one. We’ll just have to block their IP range from making new accounts for a while and block any other sock puppets they make. Samboy (talk) 13:49, 6 April 2022 (UTC)
