I recently lost my bit for inactivity, which pissed me off a lot. Meanwhile editor numbers seem to have dropped, and so there are many pages that are just piles of cow shit that no one cares about any more. It might be painless to bring such articles to B level, maybe close to GA, so I am experimenting with that idea. Let me know if you are interested in such an adventure. One of the first pieces of advice I received was to ensure my formatting matched with the standard formats of the various WikiProjects, or else they would be quickly pulled down. For your WikiProject, what formatting requirements must be met? My subject is a living person, but someone who has been moved into Witness Protection.
