He is the first google search result for , but obviously is not the primary topic for "Sasha" due to how many entries and other performers there are, but certainly is the primary topic for "Sasha (DJ)". He is the only DJ with the name Sasha, and the most significant out of the musicians (Grammy nominated/other awards won, ). Point is, he is ''the'' DJ, not ''the Welsh'' DJ. Also the Welsh being a Celtic nation means nothing unless you have a source to say that he is of the Celtic Welsh nation. He is undeniably British, but arguably Welsh. You talk about his birth and origin being Welsh, but since when does birthplace (the soil where his parents happened at the time) equate to his nationality? Graham Coxon was born in Germany, does that mean he is German? No he is English as stated in his Misplaced Pages article, same with Christian Bale (born in Wales but he is not Welsh), Greg Davies (Welsh-born but considers himself English), Ian Hislop (born in Swansea but described as English, nothing Welsh about him). And yes very true, I have kept up this practice and am very happy to do so, but considering Sasha's Welshness is up for debate and his categories describe him as British and that there is nothing really Welsh about him, what is one left to describe him as other than an objective non-disputed (ironic I know) term? |
