Nina was second-in-command of the Los Angeles ] (CTU) during the first season of the show, behind ], who was her former love interest. She was also involved with ], who later became Director of CTU. At the end of the first season, it was revealed that Nina was a traitor, who had been aiding the assassination attempts on (then Senator, later President) ]. After her cover was blown, Nina attempted to run from CTU, but Jack's wife Teri overheard a conversation that would have compromised her escape, so Nina killed Teri. Nina was later captured and sent to prison. |
