Why South Shalalth instead of Shalalth station?
seems to me the train must stop at the main Shalalth station; can't see why it would only stop at the townsite station...... and seems to me it would also stop at Ohin, which is east of Shalalth a bit; and the BBC article mentions what's obviously the Nkiat Church, indicating it must go at least as far as Buntain's as that's west of the SEton Portage station. Diesel Multiple Unit
So it would seem in conversation with the engineer that this service is not actually diesel multiple unit, as the two cars do not MU. Rather, the rear car is hauled dead by the leading car.
