Paskell is best known for playing ] in the ] hit series '']''. She joined the show at the start of ], early in series 2, as a 15-year-old drop-out who was living rough as a ] and was introduced to the series at the girlfriend of expelled pupil played by ]. The character soon returned to school and was involved in numerous high profile storylines, including exposing her own mother's boyfriend as a serial sex attacker, moving into the home of ] teacher ] (played by ]), overcoming her drug addiction, and most of all the tragic end her character met in series 4. When the episode aired on 25 February 2009, Maxine was fatally shot by boyfriend ] (played by ]). She also played a minor part in the second series of '']''.
