Paskell is best known for playing ] in the ] hit series '']''. She joined the show at the start of ], early in series 2, as a 15-year-old drop-out who was living rough as a ] and was introduced to the series at the girlfriend of expelled pupil ] played by ]. The character soon returned to school and was involved in numerous high profile storylines, including exposing her own mother's boyfriend as a serial sex attacker, moving into the home of ] teacher ] (played by ]), overcoming her drug addiction, the tragic find of a baby in the school playing field, which turned out to be Maxines' and most of all the tragic end her character met in series 4. When the episode aired on 25 February 2009, Maxine was fatally shot by boyfriend ] (played by ]).

She also played Julie Stanlake in Casualty a teenager who gave birth early and dumped her baby in a dustbin.
She also worked with David Threlfall and the rest of the ''Shameless'' cast when she filmed a gripping three episodes of the hit comedy drama as bubbly Sammy Dee.
She was also a teaching assistant at Brecknock Primary School in London. She also had a small role in ''The Bill'' as a drug addict who sold her baby which later turned out to be missing.
