Paskell is best known for playing ] in the ] hit series '']''. She joined the show at the start of 2007, early in series 2, as a 15-year-old drop-out who was living rough as a ] and was introduced to the series at the girlfriend of expelled pupil ] played by ]. The character returned to school and was involved in numerous high profile storylines, including exposing her mother's boyfriend as a serial sex attacker, moving into the home of ] teacher ] (played by ]), overcoming drug addiction, the tragic find of a baby's body in the school playing field, which turned out to be Maxine's. Her character met a tragic end in series 4, when Maxine was fatally shot by boyfriend ] (played by ]).

She also worked with David Threlfall and the rest of the ''Shameless'' cast when she filmed three episodes of the hit comedy drama as bubbly Sammy Dee. She played a teaching assistant at Brecknock Primary School in London, and had a small role in ''The Bill'' as a drug addict who sold her baby.
