Shukaku

"Shukaku" is an allusion to the legend where an old priest named Shukaku who was the custodian of the tea kettle Bunbuku chagama turned out to be an ancient mujina or raccoon dog.

Although it would be nice to add this for the sake of education in Japanology, unfortunately it is hard to find an WP:RS that explains an aspect of manga or anime as being borrowed from Japanese legend or folklore.

I found this paper trying to explain names in Dragonball but it makes mistakes. --Kiyoweap (talk) 11:34, 1 September 2019 (UTC)

The Shukaku is explained in the first paragraph of creation. I don't know if we can use that book there unless Kishimoto mentions it.Tintor2 (talk) 16:07, 1 September 2019 (UTC)
